One complaint I have with my gboard swiping experience and speech-to-text experience is that it is relentlessly targeted to the wider population rather than me. I cannot swipe the word "kernel", it always gives me "kennel". Probably for the wider population that is fine, but for me it is never correct. I suspect that I have dozens of similar examples, and as far as I'm aware, I can't put my thumb on the scale in any way and tell it to prefer something different for me.
I know we've got some limits due to relying upon externally-provided models, but I'm hoping we can let the user populate a dictionary and include in the instructions, "the user often uses these words {foo, bar, baz}, listen for them and prefer them." It would be especially useful for friends-and-family names with unique spellings.
