Notes: add a search/filter field to the All notes sidebar #84058
Once a post has a long list of notes — and especially once Suggested Edits land (#73411) — the All notes sidebar is hard to scan. Inserts, deletes, attribute changes, and comments all stack in one chronological list with no way to narrow it.
What is your proposed solution?
Add a search or filter field at the top of the All notes panel, under the “All notes” heading and above the thread list.
Thanks for opening this issue @sethrubenstein! I recall parts of this in early discussions and in prototype designs from @jasmussen. Its helpful to have the requirements spelled out so clearly.
This seems worth adding, especially now that we are making the floating notes more distinct and useful (by moving the notes into the canvas).
