I have neglected my new members - so sorry - mainly because I was so busy lately and then I went on vacation. Time to change this... I took this picture of her work (Evening dress with shawl)  in the Corning Museum of glass - we visited on my recent trip to upstate New York. I hope you like it. I f you are ever in that area - I can highly recommend that museum - we spent 5 hours there and did not see everything - just fantastic! I'll have to go back there one day... But now back to card making. I had to go up into my card room and make a few cards - car...

Time to celebrate again - it's Vicki Dutcher's birthday - hurrah! I wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more to come! Vicki is an amazing paper crafter. I am sure you all know her and her wonderful blog All I do is stamp . Go on over and wish her a Happy birthday. Since Vicki is the queen of making beautiful bows and I can't do them I used some seam binding here in her honor. The background I made with a Prima stencil and the stamps are by STAMPlorations - Artful Flutters and Sentiment Builder Happy STAMPlorations - Artful Flutters and Sentiment Builders - Happy  Vicki is on the STAMPlorations DT, but also on  Just us Girls  - so I had to play in that challenge in her honor....I took the layout from  Retrosketches

I'm still playing around with my right now favorite TCW stencil. The possibilities are just endless... I decided to make a card for retrosketches and the Card Concept . I had my nephew in mind, when I made this card: I used Paper Smooches - Sentiment sampler and the RAD set from CASual Fridays. Added enamel dots I think this card classifies as clean and graphic. The challenge  at  Less is More  its stencils or masking - this will be my second card for it.... Here are the sketch and the inspiration picture:        and  Seize the Birthday   - anything birthday with optional stitches And lastly I'm adding this card to the  Moxie Fab STENCIL challenge , that has just started!

Good news - I have two more members on my blog - yeahh, its growing and that makes me happy! I want to welcome  Desire and  Wendy Nicola I am glad you found my blog Ladies and decided to join! I picked a welcome photos for you: It is a quilt by Ellen Anne Eddy , its called "Skinny Dipping". She is a quilt artist from Indiana. This beautiful quilt was exhibited recently in a small museum close to where I live. I took a lot of pictures there, but I choose this one, because it fits my card.....It almost looks like it inspired me to make the card (maybe unconsciously......), but I choose the picture after it was done.... So, that is my card - it was a painful process and took me a few days to arrive here - so atypical for me, usually I am quite fast.... Its kind of funny - there is still an impressive amount of snow here, but I really felt like making an Easter card today.....I love those retrosketches ! This week is another pretty one to use! I first was contemplating a one layer card, but in the end I decided on some dimension.... I pulled out my CTMH sets for this card. I used two sets - Easter Wishes Holiday and A Hop.  Popped up the eggs after fuzzy cutting them on foam tape. I also bent the sentiment. Liked it curved better than straight..... Paper Smooches is celebrating its 3rd year! Happy Birthday - I love you guys! I wish you many more - your stamps are so cute and always make me smile! Its also  retrosketches  challenge #100 - that is one good reason to celebrate - happy 100st challenge!!!! I hope for many more!
