Hi Everybody, Quick and Easy Christmas Cards is the motto over at  Stampotique . That is just up my alley! I got myself some brand new Stampotique stamps and had to use them! I sponged the background with distress inks after masking off the sun? moon?  - one of them.... stamped the owls and added white snowy accents. The sentiment is a combination of Hero Arts and Winnie & Walter, which I modified..... Wow - I have two new members - so nice to see you two! I am glad to see my membership growing, even without the lure of a blog candy.... Ladies, you made my day! I want to welcome  Susan from Cat's INK Corporated and  Caroline - sorry I can't find a link, but I will happily add it, if you let me know :) I have a welcome picture for you: It is showing glass art by Dale Chihuly , an American glass artist, who did an exhibit in the Bronx Botanic Garden in 2006. This foto is taken at dusk, there was a light rain and the colors were just amazing, with pink clouds reflecting in the lily pond and the glass among the lotus seedpods. I was so fascinated by this exhibit I went there three times. So have plenty of pictures to share....Perhaps I'll show you some more some other time - I guess more members need to join ;) --X-- I have not played with 52 CCT in a while - there are just too many challenges out there, impossible to play them all. But...

Christmas Stamping All Year Long has mini cards as a challenge this week and the prize is 7 free digis from Bugaboo stamps. Now I am definitely NOT a fan of digital stamps, but I would make an exception for Bugaboo - they are just too much fun! So I checked on this challenge and there were 3 hours left! No problem - speed is my specialty! I had this negative die cut laying around form a previous challenge and it needed to be used, so I quickly threw this together: The die cut is from Memory Box - Scribble Tree, the sentiment is Paper Smooches - Christmas sampler. Some enamel dots and the card is finished! and who knows, may be I'll be the lucky one and get the luck of the draw;) And since I used some left overs I am also going to link this card up with the Pixies Crafty Snippets Playground , what fun! And here is something else - a new discovery of mine: X-mas on Tuesday I am not sure about the rules - maybe none? If I find out, I'll let you know... --X-...

Hi everybody, I am back with another Christmas card. This one is for the 52CCT challenge - the theme is "Holly".  I am also putting this card into the Moxie Fab Holiday card challenge  and the  Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge I used a Martha Stewart Holly punch for this card. The diecut and sentiment is from Prickley Pear. And I wrapped a sheer piece of fabric around red cardstock, which has snowflakes imprinted in silver on it. Its really pretty and I like how festive it looks on this card. I also used a glitzy snowflake on top of the ornament and adhered it with a brad. This card is pretty simple to make - perhaps I'll make more of the same , although I much rather come up with something new.....

The   52 CCT  challenge has metallic gold and red as requirement - there is only a couple of hours left, so this is going to be a very quick post.... The die cut, stamps and sentiment are all Hero Arts. I added some sequins. The metallic gold paper is from Paper Source. I am also linking this card with the  Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge .

A quick card tonight - still trying to get organized after my vacation in Canada...... It was beautiful - I'll show you my pictures later.  I posted the sketch from 52 CCT below. I wanted to keep my card kind of clean and simple, so that is my take on it: And here is a close up: It sparkles a little - thanks to Stickles and Liquid pearls, but it does not show so well in the pictures. Supplies: Gnome: Paper Source, Memory Box Scribble Tree, sentiment: Rubber soul, Copics, Stickles and Liquid pearls I am also linking this card with the  Stampin' Royalty challenge - Christmas in July  and Moxie Fab - Trendy Triangles  - just for the fun of it! (Trees = Triangles!) Just tried to link up my card, but to my big dismay I missed the deadline for the Stampin' Royalty challenge.....oh well!

Time for a Christmas card.....in June.....this year I will NOT be stressed out about Christmas.......!!! So I combined 52 CCT  - Christmas ornaments with KIS  - negative die-cutting and The Paper Players  - CAS with bling   into one card: I used a Prickley Pear die, the paper underneath is from My Minds Eye. The sentiment is Hero Arts - Decorate your Holidays. And then of course I used some tiny bling - it shows better in the close-up. The card is popped up with foam dots, to give it some dimension - and to emphasize the negative space....

This is the week of combined challenges.... 52 CCT  has shades of green as a theme and the Jingle Belles challenge is a sketch - see below.   I made my onw banner paper - using Versamark and clear embossed it. The Christmas bauble is from Prickly Pear - which comes with a matching die. I popped it up with foam dots and "hung" it from a silver thread. The dark green almost looks black in the photo - but its green - I swear! And since its a Christmas card I used some Stickles on the ornament. And since it fits the challenge I am also linking this up with the Sparkles Monthly challenge - monochromatic

I took part in an art exhibit on Sunday with all my cards and got a lot of positive feedback. In the end I was offered the opportunity to sell my cards in an event shortly before Christmas. That got me thinking about Christmas cards.... so I scoured blog land for Christmas Challenges and found 52 CCT . This week there is a sketch challenge, that I somewhat loosely interpreted.... The card stock is really pretty - it has little sparkly specks in it - you can see this better on the close-up. The gnome/Santa is from Papersource, the die is from Memory box and the sentiment is from Stampin' up. The set is called "It's snow time" I colored the Santa with Copics and fuzzy cut it.
