About Us:

Killswitch5150

Hey y'all, I'm Joe, commonly known as killswitch5150, across different platforms. I started out in game development when I was 11 or so years old, learning FreeBASIC on a beat-up old computer from the 90s (mind you this was 2010 or so) and fell in love with technology. By the time I was 13 me and one of my more artistic friends founded our first little "game studio", and it grew to be about 4-5 people who randomly sometimes contributed pixel art or other graphics, with me doing most of the work after the first few weeks. Eventually nobody else was contributing and I was the only developer left, and the only one that ever knew how to code.

Later that year "we" had released our first game, I would continue to update it throughout the next few years (I think the last update came out when I was 15). That was the last time I put a project onto the internet before coming to itch. Gone are the days of uploading my project to MediaFire and hoping people would find it! I still have no idea how many (if any) copies of the game were downloaded, I spammed it far and wide back in those days hoping people would play it.

I've toyed around in many engines and frameworks over the years and learned bits and pieces of tons of programming languages. I hold multiple certifications in Python, Information Technology, HTML and regularly expand my knowledge using whatever resources I find interesting.

I am not a professional game developer, software developer or similar. I hold a college degree in cyber security, and a few certifications. I am very selective about projects that I work on, because I know my own limits and do not want to accept a job that I do not whole heartedly believe I can deliver with high quality. If something is outside of my skill range, I will communicate that clearly and try to offer you guidance on finding a solution.
