    Traksat, IEC Telecom Group's dedicated PTT, IoT and tracking platform, has partnered with Globalstar to extend operational visibility for defense, government and security organisations working beyond the reach of traditional networks.   The challenge these teams face is a familiar one. Personnel, vehicles and assets often operate in remote or infrastructure-limited environments, while command teams still need timely, accurate data to coordinate a response, hold people accountable and make decisions on the spot. Without a reliable link between the field and the command centre, that visibility gap widens fast.   This partnership closes it. Globalstar's satellite devices carry location and status data out of the field, even where terrestrial networks don't reach. Traksat's platform takes that data and turns it into something a command team can use immediately: geofencing, automated alert escalation, multi-layer mapping and ATAK integration, alongside APIs that connect into existing operational systems.     Solar Tracking, Now with Smart Sensing With SmartOne Solar temporarily unavailable, many customers are asking what to do with their new satellite tracking projects. For a large number of them, the answer is Globalstar’s Integrity 150. Integrity 150 is a solar‑powered, low‑maintenance asset tracker that combines standard GPS reporting with local Bluetooth sensor connectivity and on‑device intelligence. It is designed to transmit “smart data” from the edge over the Globalstar LEO network, instead of just raw positions, which is ideal for modern IoT deployments in transport, maritime, oil & gas, construction or agriculture. From a hardware standpoint, Integrity 150 is a rugged IP68/69K unit, tested to MIL‑STD‑810G and IEC 60945, with an operating temperature from about −40 °C to +85 °C. The integrated solar panel and battery pack can deliver over 10 years of usable service in typical reporting profiles, making it a truly “install and forget” device for exposed assets: trailers, containers, rail cars, barges, tanks or remote equipment. Where it really starts to stand out versus a classic tracker is Bluetooth. Integrity 150 supports BLE 5 and can interface with a growing ecosystem of wireless sensors for temperature, humidity, motion, proximity and more, secured with industry‑standard encryption and cloud‑based key management. Combined with Globalstar’s Realm Edge Application Platform, it is possible to process sensor data locally (for example, detect door open/close or threshold breaches) and only send optimized events via satellite, reducing airtime and making alerts more meaningful. Compared to SmartOne Solar, Integrity 150 is not ATEX‑certified, so for hazardous environments SmartOne Solar remains the reference. But for many other projects, Integrity 150 is a great choice: similar pricing, solar and maintenance‑free operation, plus far richer sensing and edge‑processing options when integrated into the Traksat platform. It is an opportunity to rethink what a “simple” satellite tracker can do on your assets.     Not every operation needs a complex terminal. Often, what works best is a small, reliable box that just tracks. Everywhere. The Globalstar SmartOne C is exactly that: a compact, IP68 satellite tracker designed for the intelligent management of mobile and fixed assets on the Globalstar LEO network. With its low hardware cost and access to very competitive – and in some cases unlimited – tracking plans, it has quickly become one of the most deployed satellite beacons in our customer base. On the hardware side, SmartOne C is built for tough environments. It weighs about 100 g, is fully sealed against dust and water, and operates from about −30°C to +60°C, making it suitable for vehicles, containers, boats and remote equipment in harsh conditions. It can be line‑powered (5 to ~22 V DC) or run on four standard AAA lithium batteries which, depending on the reporting interval, can provide up to 1 year of autonomy in low reporting profiles. What makes it especially attractive is the combination of cost and flexibility. SmartOne C supports multiple reporting modes (interval, 24‑hour, alternate schedules) with up to 12 configurable schedules, motion‑based triggering, geofencing and low‑battery alerts. Paired with Globalstar’s simplex IoT service and flat‑rate plans, this allows frequent position reports without worrying about message overage costs, which is ideal for large fleets or seasonal deployments. Connected to the Traksat platform, SmartOne C becomes part of a wider ecosystem. Positions and alarms can be visualized alongside other satellite, cellular and radio devices, with access to history, reports, geofencing, time‑out alerts and notifications by email or SMS. This is particularly valuable in sectors like fisheries, logistics or remote infrastructure, where a mix of technologies is often required but operators still want a single, unified view. By combining Globalstar’s SmartOne C hardware with Traksat’s cloud platform, customers get an affordable, robust and scalable solution for tracking many assets far from GSM coverage – without sacrificing features or blowing up their airtime budget.
