A greener, fairer future for travel: extraordinary trips created with local experts around the world 🌍 🌿

À propos

Evaneos was created in 2009 with the goal of revolutionizing the travel industry. We’ve always been driven by the conviction that it’s possible for trips to be better for travelers and the places they visit – and we were certified B Corp in 2022. Our model is simple. We’re the first company to connect travelers directly with a meticulously selected and constantly evaluated community of expert local agents around the world. They are dedicated – like us – to making travel a source of positive impact. Together, we craft extraordinary and one-of-a-kind trips that are both unique to each traveler and in respect of local cultures and communities. By choosing Evaneos, travelers not only support an alternative and ethical model for the industry but see the cost of their trip directly benefit local economies.

Community Tourism, done right. 🤝 This piece captures exactly what our partnership with Planeterra is about: not adding a stop to an itinerary, but building experiences alongside communities, with the right support and a real commitment to local ownership. The SEED community trip with our agency partners in Cape Town is a great example of what that looks like in practice. Because Community Tourism only works when it's genuinely community-led. Thank you to Planeterra, our agency partners and the SEED team for making this collaboration possible. Give it a read 👇

What does it take to build a Community Tourism experience that benefits communities and travellers? Recently, Planeterra and Evaneos welcomed travel agency partners to visit SEED (School of Environmental Education & Development) in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town.  Together, they explored how a Community Tourism initiative rooted in environmental education and local knowledge can deliver meaningful visitor experiences while supporting community priorities. The visit was an opportunity to gather feedback, strengthen the visitor experience, and demonstrate how collaboration can help Community Tourism thrive without losing what makes it unique. A big thank you to Evaneos and its travel agency partners for helping strengthen Community Tourism through partnership. Read the full story below.

🤝 Connecting agencies to communities. Earlier this year, we brought our agency network into Morocco's High Atlas - not for a typical fam trip, but to meet two women-led cooperatives the Evaneos Better Trips Fund and the Planeterra Foundation helped become market-ready. In Zaouiat Ahansal, the Amaguar Cooperative (Kounouz Ahansal) started with five women in 2016 and now counts 125 members, growing organic saffron and weaving carpets by hand. They also run a community nursery - seedlings grown today, sold to local farmers, bought back at harvest. In Tinghir, the Ighir Cooperative rolls couscous by hand, in a kitchen whose members include women living with disabilities. Next door, two small rooms - one for music, one for literacy - teach children with disabilities from the community. Our agency partners spent two days there, cooking, weaving, and listening. 💬 "It felt like a community that had decided, somewhere along the way, that they were all one family," said one of the participants. Because community tourism only works when the people selling the trip have actually lived it. Both cooperatives are now ready to welcome travelers. Thank you, Planeterra Foundation, for building this bridge with us. 💚 cc Original Travels Co

What happens to travel when AI agents start booking it themselves? Last week, we co-hosted a special evening, "MCP Connect - Travel Edition," in our office with interventions from Alpic and Jinko, and welcomed 60 people who came to think through that question with us. Antoine L. (Evaneos) spoke about the hardest part of bringing AI into a legacy-rich product like tailor-made travel: getting the right context to the right place, at the right moment. Pierre-Louis Theron (Alpic) showed how MCP is turning twelve open tabs into a single prompt. Kevin Gauthier (Jinko) explained why MCP is the missing piece that lets any AI agent start selling travel in minutes. What stayed with us from the evening: AI is getting remarkably good at executing. But it still can't tell you what a trip is worth, only a human can. That's the belief we keep coming back to at Evaneos: AI makes planning faster, but the judgment, the trust, and the context that make a trip meaningful stay human work. Thanks to Alpic for co-hosting, and to everyone who joined us 🙏

Think Product Designers just make things look pretty? Not quite. 🎨 Meet Tim Tortosa Designer at Evaneos, the one behind every page travelers land on, so the experience speaks for itself. Behind every intuitive click and every seamless journey, you'll find his work: sketching, prototyping, questioning, simplifying. ⚙️ Today, he's setting the record straight on what the job really looks like: myth vs. reality, designer edition.

AI is changing how people plan and search for trips - but also how travel is being operated. Join us next week in Paris to talk about what that means in practice. We're happy to co-host a special evening “MCP Connect -Travel Edition” with Alpic on July 2, and we'd love to see you there. Antoine L. will be speaking about how AI is changing the way we operate internally as a tech travel company. At Evaneos, we believe the future of travel is hybrid. AI makes planning faster and more accessible, but what gives a journey meaning stays human: 💡 Advise and guide travelers 🤝 Reassure and build trust 🚪 Broaden perspectives and open the door you'd never have pushed ✨ Uncover experiences beyond the obvious AI can tell you what's relevant. Only a human can tell you what's worth it. → Register here: https://luma.com/ng66frvi

44°C in France, 43°C in Spain, 38°C in the UK: record-breaking heat across Europe. Travelers are rewriting the map. 🌡️ While southern Europe swelters, a quiet but significant shift is happening in how people choose where to go. At Evaneos, we're seeing 2x more interest this summer in cooler destinations like Denmark, Switzerland, or Austria. We covered the trend in Les Echos this week: "Coolcation is becoming a new way to choose your holidays: seeking freshness, yes, but also space, nature, and destinations that aren't overwhelmed." Overtourism and extreme heat are two sides of the same problem: tourism piling onto the same places, at the same time, every year. Redirecting that flow toward less saturated destinations isn't just smarter for traveler: it's better for local communities and ecosystems too! That's what our local agencies make possible. They know their territories from the inside: the quieter valleys, the cooler altitudes, the places that genuinely welcome visitors without being crushed by them. In the end, everyone wins: local communities, ecosystems, and travelers themselves! 🏔️ ➡️ Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/e4J9fmJu Thank you to Eric Delon and Les Echos for digging into this with us.

When AI Meets Human Expertise 🤝 Last Thursday, our Chief Product & Strategic Development Officer, Romain Rousseau, joined Next Tourism 2026 to discuss a question that is increasingly shaping the travel industry: 👉 How do travel companies stay relevant when AI seems to have all the answers ? At Evaneos, we don't believe in choosing between technological innovation and human expertise. We believe the real opportunity lies in combining both. AI is already transforming the way travelers get inspired, compare options and plan their trips. It makes travel planning faster, easier and more accessible. But And human expertise remains essential to: 💡 Advise and guide travelers through their choices 🤝 Reassure and build trust 🔍 Challenge assumptions and broaden perspectives ✨ Uncover unique experiences that go beyond the obvious Because a journey is more than an itinerary. It's the unexpected encounter, the local recommendation, the story behind a place, and the people who bring a destination to life 💚. A big thank you to Next Tourisme for the invitation, Nicolas François for moderating, and Nicolas Baudy and Laurence Malençon for the insightful discussion !. 💚 ⓒ crédit photo Guiller Mogo

Connecting communities, creating opportunities. 🤝 In this third episode of our series with Planeterra, we spoke with Phakamile Hlazo, Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East at Planeterra, about the importance of creating meaningful links between local communities and global travelers. Through her experience, Phakamile highlights how tourism can open doors for communities that may be located in some of the world’s most extraordinary places, yet remain disconnected from the global economy and international visitors. She also shares how long-term partnerships can strengthen community resilience. From political instability to natural disasters, communities with access to international networks and travelers are often better equipped to recover and move forward. Because beyond the experience, travel can create opportunities, foster resilience, and connect communities to a world they might otherwise never reach. A conversation about connection, resilience, and the power of inclusive tourism. 🌍

Our 2025 Impact Report is live 🌍 On this World Environment Day, we're sharing a snapshot of the progress made alongside our travelers, local agency partners and communities around the world. This year's edition is intentionally shorter. Why? Because we're preparing something bigger: an updated Climate Action Plan that will be released later this year. In the meantime, here are a few highlights from 2025: • €970,874 contributed to the Better Trips Fund • 50% of our partner agencies are now sustainability certified or qualified • Launch of Indonesia360, our new destination transformation program combining AI insights, carbon measurement and local collaboration • 11 new community tourism enterprises joined our network through our partnership with Planeterra • 54,000 trees planted alongside local communities across five destinations Behind every number is a shared commitment: proving that tourism can create value for destinations while helping preserve what makes them unique. There's still a long way to go. But together, we're helping shape better travel, one partnership, one community and one journey at a time. 💚
