Today, Dr. Emilien BERNARD, SEALS Coordinating Investigator, Hospices Civils de Lyon, presented the preliminary data of the SEALS Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating NX210c in patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at ENCALS 2026 in Madrid (Spain) and during the TRICALS Satellite Meeting. Annette Janus, MD (Chief Medical Officer), Sébastien MARIE (Clinical Operations Director), and Juliette LE DOUCE (Clinical Project Manager) from the Axoltis team were also present at the meeting and were glad to exchange with the attendees. Link to detailed news: https://lnkd.in/eAiujcHy The study enrolled 82 ALS patients across 16 investigational sites within the ACT4ALS/MND network. Participants were randomized to receive placebo, NX210c 5 mg/kg, or NX210c 10 mg/kg. Treatment consisted of a 10-minute intravenous infusion administered 3x times per week for 4 weeks. We are glad to share that these preliminary findings support the continued development of NX210c. Further analyses of the complete dataset will be harnessed to characterize and profile the responder patient populations and to propose an optimized therapeutic strategy, including dose selection and course of treatment repetition frequency for the next clinical phase. Axoltis envisions a partnership with a Pharma for the remaining development: https://lnkd.in/eEw2jGJW We sincerely thank all the participants and contributors to SEALS, first and foremost the patients and their caregivers, alongside investigators and their clinical teams, as well as the CRO and service providers, supporters and patient advocacy organizations ARSLA Les Invincibles Schweizerische ALS Stiftung. #ALS #Clinicaldevelopment #ENCALS #ENCALS2026

Axoltis advances NX210c, under evaluation in a Phase 2 clinical trial in patients with ALS - Results expected Q2 2026
À propos
Axoltis Pharma is developing NX210c, a groundbreaking treatment for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as maladie de Charcot in French), the most frequent of the rare diseases and one of the most devastating. ALS progressively destroys motor neurons, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis, and ultimately death, with very limited treatment options today. NX210c is the first targeted - and most advanced - treatment addressing this high unmet medical need. This peptide restores the blood-brain barrier (BBB), a key factor in ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases. With 7 patents and orphan drug designation in the USA and EU for ALS, NX210c has shown an excellent tolerability profile and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial on 80 patients, with topline results expected in April 2026. Axoltis, nominated for the prestigious Prix Galien, is a pioneer in BBB restoration and is accelerating the development of NX210c, bringing new hope to millions of patients facing neurodegenerative diseases.

At ENCALS 2026 in Madrid, our Head of AI & Statistics, Paolo Messina, presents a methodological framework that puts synthetic patient profiles to work on exactly that question. Externally validated models trained on large ALS datasets, predict each patient's expected untreated disease course, then use those predictions to adjust the analysis for prognosis, giving more precision from the same patients, and to build digital-twin controls that enrich the placebo arm.
