🔬Aqemia and Sanofi Expand Their Research Collaboration. Two years after we first joined forces in December 2023, Sanofi has nominated a new therapeutic target, expanding the scope of our $140M collaboration and triggering a new milestone payment. This nomination means a lot to us. It reflects the trust built between our teams, and it shows that our physics-based generative AI can deliver on real, hard problems, including first-in-class projects where chemical data is scarce from the start. Across Paris, London, Boston and Frankfurt, our teams and Sanofi's are inventing novel small molecule drugs together, powered by Qemi, our proprietary physics-based generative AI platform. As our CEO and co-founder Maximilien Levesque puts it: "It shows that our physics-based generative AI can deliver on real, hard projects. We are committed to inventing innovative drugs in close alliance with Sanofi's experts." We look forward to what's next. 👇 Full Press Release Link in the comments below. 👇 #DrugDiscovery #GenerativeAI #AIforDrugDiscovery #Pharma #Deeptech

Some news that means a lot to me. We just expanded our $140 millions research collaboration with Sanofi: A new target nomination and a milestone payment mark the next step of our multi-year partnership first announced in December 2023. I still remember the early days of this collaboration, when the idea of physics-based generative AI designing real drug candidates was still mostly a bet. A bet on the science coming out of academia. A bet on a small team believing we could tackle therapeutic targets that felt out of reach. After two years of collaboration, seeing Sanofi trust us and expand the scope of what we build together is something I don't take for granted. It's the proof that Aqemia's science, and the people behind it, can deliver on real, hard problems, not just promising demos, working hand in hand with deep experts from a global pharmaceutical leader. Many thanks to the Sanofi and AQEMIA teams from #Boston, #Frankfurt and #Paris for making our shared achievements possible!  More to come! 👇 Full Press Release Link in the comments below 👇 cc Emmanuelle Martiano Rolland, Nicolas Canouï, Nicolas Erard, Steve St-Gallay, Bill Tatsis, Laura Scalfi, Jennifer Brookes, Fergus Preston and the whole Scientific and Business teams at Sanofi who trust us. #DrugDiscovery #GenerativeAI #AIforDrugDiscovery #Pharma #Deeptech #biotech #collaboration

"What matters isn't finding what others have already found, faster. It's finding solutions where no one else has." AI in healthcare is usually sold as an accelerator. Our co-founder Maximilien Levesque sees it differently. Our bet at Aqemia: not to run faster than other labs, but to go where the gaps are, diseases with no existing solution. Pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, glioblastoma. How? By combining physics and AI. As Maximilien puts it: it's like having a physics professor teach an AI what makes a molecule a good drug candidate. And here's what sets us apart: not our infrastructure, but the molecules we find, far from the ones that already exist. No massive GPU clusters, no giant data centers. Just our mathematics: frugal, and built to compete at the highest level. Maximilien sat down with the "40 nuances de Next" podcast at VivaTech to talk about all of it. There is something especially meaningful about seeing your alma mater tell your story. AQEMIA was born within the scientific ecosystem of Université PSL, where fundamental research in statistical physics and AI laid the foundations for a new approach to drug discovery. Being selected for the La French Tech Next40/120 2026 is a great honor. But being recognized by the university where this journey began makes this milestone even more special. It's also a powerful reminder of what can happen when world-class academic research meets entrepreneurship: ideas developed in the lab can become technologies with the potential to transform industries and improve patients' lives. A big thank you to Université PSL for highlighting our journey, and congratulations to Alice & Bob, another remarkable company to emerge from this outstanding ecosystem. Most importantly, thank you to everyone at AQEMIA whose talent, curiosity, and dedication continue to turn an ambitious scientific vision into reality. We're just getting started. 🚀 📖 Read more: https://lnkd.in/e539z5nr #FrenchTechNext40 #PSL #AQEMIA #DeepTech #AI #DrugDiscovery

Today, AQEMIA joins the La French Tech #Next40, this shortlist of the top 40 scale-up champions headquartered in France. This is a major milestone for us and a powerful recognition of what our team has built over the past few years. At AQEMIA, we set out to tackle one of the toughest challenges in technology and healthcare: We discover drugs against cancers by teaching quantum and statistical physics to AI. What started as a scientific breakthrough in quantum and statistical mechanics at Ecole normale supérieure, PSL Research University, and CNRS has become a company operating at the intersection of DeepTech, AI, and biopharma, partnering with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical organizations and advancing a growing pipeline of therapeutic programs against cancers. Being selected for the Next40 places AQEMIA among a generation of companies demonstrating that France can produce global technology leaders in strategic industries. This achievement belongs to our extraordinary team of scientists, engineers, drug hunters, and operators whose talent and determination make the impossible look routine. Thank you to our partners, investors (Elaia, Eurazeo, Bpifrance Large Venture, Wendel, Cathay Innovation), supporters, and originating academic research institutes who share our conviction that breakthrough science and technology can dramatically accelerate the discovery of new medicines. We are honored to join this year's cohort of extraordinary companies, congrats to them, and we are even more excited about what comes next. The opportunity ahead of us is immense. #FrenchTechNext40 #AQEMIA #AI #DrugDiscovery #DeepTech #Biotech cc Emmanuelle Martiano Rolland, Nicolas Canouï, Dr Veronique Birault FMedSci, Beatriz Sanchez

France is emerging as a global powerhouse in biotech, where artificial intelligence meets deep science to redefine how drugs are discovered. This Le Figaro article captures the acceleration of this ecosystem, spotlighting key innovators as Aqemia. At Aqemia, we know one thing: AI powered with data alone can't invent but me-too molecules or assist medicinal chemists in their exploration journey. Our approach goes deeper. By combining AI with unique deep physics, from École normale supérieure and CNRS, we model molecular interactions from first principles, at the atomic level. This enables us to explore uncharted territories: completely new molecules, not me-toos, and targets without data. We are not just part of this movement, we are helping shape it. Aqemia sits at the core of a new generation of biotech companies transforming how innovation happens, in close partnership with leading pharmaceutical players.  🚀 A new paradigm in drug discovery is here, driven by first-principles science, powered by AI, and led by pioneers like Aqemia. 👉 Full article: https://lnkd.in/evePuNB3  We’re hiring!
