🎓 The essence of Antineo's expertise with resistant model is compiled in this application note. 📊 Key findings show that the maintenance of the whole tumor microenvironment is needed and critical for the acquisition of tumor resistance. Removing the tumor microenvironment induces a loss of the resistant phenotype. TME is therefore a very promising target for oncology drug developement.

🚨 Breaking news: Application note release on the tumor microenvironment (TME) impact on acquired cancer resistance to therapies. The TME is a major focus in modern oncology, particularly in drug development. ↔️ The dynamic interplay between the cellular and chemical components of the TME and the cancer cells themselves is promoting the reshaping of the tumor niche and possibly the occurrence of resistance to therapies. 🎓 ANTINEO's proprietary cancer-resistant model and expertise have been used to investigate the influence of the tumor microenvironment on a resistant colorectal tumor. 📈 The findings indicate that when a primary resistant tumor is reimplanted without the original TME the resistance is lost, while the same primary tumor being reimplanted with its TME keeps the resistant phenotype. This is particularly important when developing a Best-in-Class or First-in-Class innovative drug. #cancer, #TME, #oncology

As 2 famous mice would say : “What do you want to do tonight..? The same thing we do every night, try to take over the world!”, we ultimately come up with a plan of our own.   2026 Q3 & Q4 will be busy for me, as I will represent ANTINEO on 2 continents : Europe and North America. A world tour to present and discuss our preclinical oncology models (tumoroids, CDX, PDX), translational strategies and potential collaborations. 📍 Our 2026 Q3 & Q4 event agenda : - BioHorizon, Montreal, Canada | October 6-8 - Collaborative days, Lyon, France | October 13 - Bio Europe, Cologne, Germany | 9-11 November - BioFit, Marseille, France | 10-11 December If you're attending any of these events and would like to discuss, feel free to reach out: I'd be happy to connect ! A special thanks to MabDesign, Business France – Santé and France2030 for such opportunities.

Exactly one month ago, 2 equally important events took place: 1️⃣ the football World Cup had just started and ⚽ 2️⃣ our Study Director and head of business development Marie Tautou presented 🖥️ ANTINEO’s 3D bioprinted tumoroids during a webinar organized by AFSSI Sciences de la Vie. 🥅 While the objective of the first is to score as many goals as possible, our goal is to score as many drug candidates as possible to help our customers select the best drug candidate during their preclinical phases. Our in vitro tumoroids allow the re-creation of a tumor microenvironment, with a customized and controlled level of complexity, from 3D monoculture of cancer cells to 2 or 3-cell-type tumoroids (immune cells, cancer-associated fibroblasts and adipocytes). 🏆 In the same way, a football coach will select their players for their complementarity on the field, our expertise is to guide and advise on the best model selection (from in vitro to in vivo) for a successful preclinical package. With more than 200 models available (10-times more than a football squad), there is certainly a winning combination.

🤩 Less than a month after joining, and already presenting :). We are also feeling a momentum and a deeper level of questionning by our customers on the most relevant model to be used during preclinical studies. That's precisely where our expertise is making the most sense, providing with state of the art advice, rooted in a decade of experience and hands-on, to provide themost robust preclinical package possible. 👏 And bravo Pierre Gaudriault for the quick catch-up with our in vitro results

🎸 🔬 Last week, I traded my guitar for a laser pointer, and the gods of rock 'n' roll for the gods of science to be back on stage, and boy, does it feel amazing 🤩 🎙️ It was an honour to be a speaker during the 14th @AIS in Montpellier last week in a dedicated NAMs session. It was for me the perfect opportunity to dive into the new generation of in vitro models, covering their general context, advantages, limitations, and illustrate with @Antineo’s specific use-case on breast cancer. ❗ The big takeaway: The level of physiological relevance and complexity of such new in vitro models (bio-printed tumoroids, organ-on-chip, organoids,…)  is unprecedented, but so is the generated dataset. Relevant data and conclusions are often obtained by crossing results from complementarity models (vivo & vitro, vitro & ex vivo, different species). 💡 My take-home message Lean on experts' advice, and choose the best set of models tailored for your study. Thanks to the AIS Congress, MabDesign and AFSSI Sciences de la Vie, Aurélie Cadiou for the results, and Raafat Fares for the session moderation. #NAMs, #AIS2026

🚨 Breaking news, we have a major addition to the team, quite literally, given his height. We are super happy to welcome Pierre Gaudriault in ANTINEO as head of growth development. 💪 At Antineo, we are convinced that complementarity between in vitro and in vivo models is a key success factor for a robust preclinical package and subsequent CTA/IND filing. 🤝 By combining Pierre’s nearly 10 years of experience with in vitro models (particularly organoids and tumoroids) with Antineo’s excellence in oncology in vivo models is a key milestone in becoming a “1-stop shop” oncology preclinical service company. 🚀In this period of market rebound, Pierre will also drive our lead acquisition and Business development activity of the company, in tandem with @marie tautou. As Pierre likes to say: “let’s keep it simple and fun” Welcome aboard Pierre

📋 Case study : a biotech starts with 6 candidates. Same target, same indication. In 2D, four of them look promising. The team runs a screen in 3D bioprinted tumors before committing to in vivo studies. The results are humbling. Two of the "promising" candidates collapse completely in 3D : the spatial architecture of the tumor exposes a penetration issue that flat cultures had masked. One compound that looked average in 2D rises to the top. They enter in vivo studies with 2 candidates instead of 4. ⏱️ Time saved: ~4 months. 💰 Cost avoided: significant. 🎯 Signal quality: much sharper. This a pattern we see play out regularly. 3D screening doesn't just improve predictivity, it can change which questions you're asking and save you a lot of money and time. That shift alone can redefine the dynamic of a preclinical program. Has a model switch ever surprised you with unexpected results ? #Oncology #3DModels #Spheroids #DrugDiscovery #Biotech #PreclinicalResearch #CandidateScreening

2D cell cultures have driven drug discovery for decades but the industry is quietly moving on, and 3D models are leading the shift. Here's why it matters for your pipeline ↓ 🔬 Cells in a flat dish behave differently from cells in a tumor. They lack the spatial organization, the oxygen gradients, the cell-cell interactions that define how a real tumor responds to treatment. 3D models (spheroids, organoids, tumor-on-a-chip) restore that complexity. They're not perfect but they're considerably closer to biology. 🎯 What this means for candidate screening is better predictivity earlier in the pipeline. Compounds that look promising in 2D but fail in 3D are likely to fail in vivo, better to know at week 4 than at month 18. 3D models are becoming a powerful triage tool: surface the real candidates faster, cut the noise earlier. ⚡ The competitive edge for biotech with leaner pipelines and more confident go/no-go decisions. Also less money spent advancing candidates that shouldn't have made it past screening. In an industry where the cost of a late-stage failure can run into hundreds of millions, earlier predictivity isn't a nice-to-have, it's a strategic advantage. Of course 3D models won't replace in vivo studies. But they're reshaping when and how decisions get made. Are you already integrating 3D models into your screening pipeline ? We would love to discuss with you how our 3D bioprinted tumors can transform your preclinical package. #Oncology #3DModels #DrugDiscovery #Organoids #Biotech #PreclinicalResearch #TherapeuticPipeline
