President Sauli Niinistö sees real quantum computers, not concepts. It was a pleasure to welcome President Sauli Niinistö, former President of the Republic of Finland, to IQM Quantum Computers and our production facilities. The visit offered a concrete view of how quantum computing is moving from research toward industrial-scale technology. Walking our production line, President Niinistö saw what it takes to manufacture quantum processors at scale: repeatable, quality-controlled builds rather than one-off lab prototypes. Our discussions also went beyond technology, into today's geopolitical landscape, European and transatlantic security, and leadership in a complex world. Quantum technologies sit at the intersection of these topics. They matter for technological leadership and economic prosperity, and equally for security and resilience. This is also why owning the hardware matters. Institutions that rely solely on external quantum computing capacity depend on someone else's infrastructure and priorities. Owning the machine means the data, expertise, and intellectual property built around it stay in-house, and that capability compounds over time. For countries focused on technological sovereignty and resilience, this distinction is increasingly important. #Quantum #Finland #ProductionQuantum #Security

We give quantum a heartbeat. That phrase means something a little different to everyone: Helping a colleague solve a difficult problem, sharing knowledge, bringing in fresh ideas… Or simply showing up each day ready to contribute. But what connects all of these answers is the belief that progress is built together, one beat at a time. We asked our colleagues what giving quantum a heartbeat means to them. Here's what they shared. #QuantumHeartbeat

Improving quantum optimization usually means improving the hardware — more qubits, lower noise. Our latest research explores another way: extracting more from the results today's machines already produce. When a quantum computer runs an optimization algorithm like QAOA, it produces more than a final answer. It leaves behind statistical fingerprints — how the variables in a problem relate to one another. Our new method, QISS (Quantum-Informed Surrogate Sampling), uses those fingerprints to build a classical model and samples from it to construct better solutions than the circuit reported on its own. Turning those fingerprints into solutions is a lightweight classical step, requiring no further calls to the quantum device and no extra tuning. We tested it on MaxCut and Maximum Independent Set problems and on our own 54-qubit Emerald processor, where, strikingly, the solution quality held up whether the fingerprints came from raw noisy hardware or noiseless simulation, while remaining competitive with established classical solvers. This is what Production Quantum looks like in practice: getting more useful answers from the machines already running, rather than waiting for the hardware of the future. Yesterday our CEO Jan Goetz rang the Nasdaq Closing Bell on behalf of the entire IQM team. The bell marks a milestone. The work it recognizes happens every day: building, delivering, and operating quantum computers that our customers own. From Oak Ridge to Munich to Tokyo, that work continues this morning. Thank you to our employees, customers, partners, and shareholders. First earnings call complete. Many more quarters ahead. $IQMX #IQM #Nasdaq #NasdaqListed #QuantumComputing Jan Goetz Blair Robertson Sylwia Barthel de Weydenthal Jan Kuerschner Chiara Mantegani Henrik Klobut Inés De Vega Juha Vartiainen Juha Hassel Soren Hein Mark Falcon Pasi Kivinen Craig Ciesla Tomi Riipinen Dimitrios P.

🔔 Today IQM rings the Nasdaq closing bell. From a lab in Espoo to Times Square — not bad for a company that started with five qubits and a cryostat in the back room. Today IQM reported its first earnings as a public company. EUR 102 million in order backlog. EUR 309 million in cash. Our first US delivery, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. That makes 17 quantum computers delivered. Not simulated, Installed! Owned by customers who operate them and build on them. Most of this industry sells access to a cloud. We sell the machine. CSC is integrating ours into the LUMI AI Factory. Deutsche Bahn ran live scheduling data through ours. That is the difference between a demo and infrastructure. We are still early. But the gap between a quantum computer that works in a lab and one that works in a data center is closing fast. To our team, our customers, and our new shareholders: Thank You! https://investors.iqm.tech/news-releases/news-release-details/iqm-quantum-computers-reports-first-earnings-public-company #IQM #IQMX #Earnings #QuantumComputing #Nasdaq #InvestorRelations Jan Goetz Blair Robertson Sylwia Barthel de Weydenthal Jan Kuerschner Chiara Mantegani Henrik Klobut Juha Vartiainen Juha Hassel Soren Hein Mark Falcon Pasi Kivinen Craig Ciesla Tomi Riipinen

Can a single word capture what IQM is all about? Probably not. But when we asked our colleagues, the answers offered a glimpse into the ambition, innovation, and sense of community that pace the rhythm here. See from the video which word they chose. Is there something you would want to add? Share it in the comments! #QuantumHeartbeat

Calibration is one of the quiet bottlenecks in scaling quantum hardware. It can take days of manual tuning before a QPU is ready for real work. We contributed to the development of NVIDIA Ising Calibration, and IQM Halocene is built to run it natively: our next-generation error-correction platform integrates NVIDIA NVQLink, so calibration and error correction workflows run directly on the system our customers own and operate. That matters for Production Quantum. It means HPC centers and research institutions running IQM hardware on-premises don't have to choose between owning their infrastructure and having access to the best AI-driven tooling for keeping it running. The QPU, the data, and the calibration loop all stay in one place: theirs. Good to see this land as open, freely available tooling for the whole ecosystem. #Quantum #QPU #QuantumAI #NVIDIA
NVIDIA Ising Calibration 1.5, the latest from the NVIDIA Ising open model family, automates QPU calibration end-to-end, interpreting outputs and recommending next steps to continue operating. ✔️ 10% better zero-shot accuracy than the next best open model ✔️ 86.5% in-context learning improvement over its predecessor ✔️ Runs on a single GPU or DGX Spark via NVFP4 quantization Learn more ➡️ https://nvda.ws/45siAYE
