When all else fails... reach for Calpol.
Aug. 19th, 2008 09:31 amMy 3 year old is ILL. This is bad. We fly to spain in less than 6 days and I have an ill child.
I mean, I'm sure she'll recover in time, she's just had calpol so obviously she'll be running about in no time...
It's only 9:30 - plenty of time for today to improve... lets be positive.
All I need to do is drink my tea and listen to Dora on repeat on the DVD player for the next erm...3 hours until I have to move the invalid and take her to nursery. Fantastic. I'll cope, I have milk today and therefore tea, my headache is going away finally, and things seem to have patched themselves up between "Best Friend" and me so that's also good.
I had to apologise, I knew I was in the wrong and was being a moody cow and shouldn't have taken it out on her.... but you know, we do take these things out on the people we are closest too...So "Best Friend" came over last night and we had a blether and a chat and things are ok - well until He mentioned dog-sitting for us, and she decided to get all stroppy again, but that is ok, "best friend" is His sister - they can sort that out, I got to play "peace-maker" by saying "well, lets wait and see what happens, we might not go anywhere!" and Huzzah, I am wonderful.
It is still raining... maybe the weather needs some Calpol to perk it up a bit?!
