Fandoms: Doctor Who: Classic Who, some Big Finish and New Who; Torchwood (S1 & S2 only); Martha Wells: Murderbot Diaries; Jane Austen novels; Alexandre Dumas: The Count of Monte Cristo
'Ships (slash, het, and femslash):
Classic Who:
Two/Jamie McCrimmon, Zoe Heriot/Isobel Watkings, Zoe Heriot/Victoria Waterfield, or any other way to femslash Zoe or Victoria; Jamie/Victoria; Ben/Polly; Nyssa/Tegan
Big Finish Doctor Who: Eighth Doctor/Charley Pollard (at the moment I only know the first four audio adventures with them, though no doubt I’ll have listened to at least few more before the reveals)
New Who: Jack/Doctor (any Doctor), Bill/Heather, Bill/Martha, Rose/Martha, Jack/Martha, Thirteen/Yaz, Jenny/Vastra
Jane Austen novels: Fanny Price/Mary Crawford, Emma Woodhouse/Jane Fairfax, Catherine Morland/Isabelle Thorpe, Catherine Morland/Eleanor Tilney, Catherine Morland/Henry Tilney.
Torchwood: Jack/Ianto; Toshiko femslash; Jack/Ianto/Gwen
The Count of Monte Cristo: Eugénie/Louise, Eugénie/Haydée, Haydée/Valentine
Gen relationships I particularly like:
Doctor Who: any Second Doctor era gen, Twelve & Bill, Thirteen & Bill (f/f also fine), Thirteen and her 'fam'
Austen: Bennet sisters, Dashwood sisters
Murderbot & any of its humans, Murderbot & ART.
Generally, I'm also very very happy with gen for any of the pairings listed above.
Characters
Classic Who: Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon, Zoe Heriot, Victoria Waterfield, Ben Jackson, Polly Wright; Vicki; Fifth Doctor, Nyssa of Traken; Sarah Jane, Leela, Romana I and II; Ace; Isobel Watkins; Astrid Ferrier; Fariah (Enemy of the World). Generally I like a wide variety of characters and Doctors, so feel free to throw in others, though unfortunately the Third Doctor era doesn’t work for me, so please not that.
Big Finish Doctor Who: Eighth Doctor, Charley Pollard, Sixth Doctor, Dr. Evelyn Smythe (I'm still working my way through fairly early audios for each). And I've listened to a fair amount of the Second Doctor era ones and the early Five and Nyssa ones.
New Who: I like all the New Who Doctors to varying degrees, special shoutout to Thirteen (and Eleven and Twelve). My favourite Companions are Bill, Jack, Donna, Martha, Yaz, but I do like all of them. Other characters: Kate Stewart, Petronella Osgood, Vastra & Jenny & Strax.
Murderbot Diaries: Murderbot, its humans, ART (gen only please!)
Jane Austen novels: I like all the heroines at least to some extent, my favourites are probably Catherine, Elizabeth, and Anne. Of other characters, I especially like: Jane Bennet, Georgiana Darcy, Jane Fairfax, Henry Tilney, Mary Crawford. Except for the relationships specified in the relationships section, I prefer gen, though canon pairings can stay canon. I just don’t need them in the focus because I already have the canon.
Torchwood: Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones, Toshiko Sato. I’m also happy with crossovers with Doctor Who and any pairings I’ve mentioned there.
The Count of Monte-Cristo: pretty much anyone, but especially Eugénie Danglars, Louise d'Armilly, Mercedes, Valentine de Villefort, Maximilien Morrel, Haydée.
Fic Likes: gen, femslash, slash and the occasional het when requested above. Friendships, found family, beginnings of friendship, enemies to friends, friends to lovers, adventures, casefic, history, science, women being awesome, female bonding and women supporting each other, male bonding, platonic touching and hugging, domestics, slice of life, science geekery, enjoying the wonders of the universe. Pre-canon, post-canon, missing scenes, canon divergence AUs and fix-its (especially for Jamie and Zoe’s War Games ending, Donna’s ending, Bill’s fate); cross-era things like different companions/Doctors meeting or companions travelling with Doctors other than the usual ones.
Happy/hopeful endings. Fluff. Angst with happy ending. Hurt/comfort with more focus on the comfort. Porn with feelings. Humour. Characters having to overcome social expectetions and pressures. Animals and nature. Epistolary stuff. Murderbot having to deal with people and feelings. Murderbot being fannish. Adventures and all manner of shenanigans. Crossovers, either with one of these fandoms or other fandoms you know I like.
Note for Classic Who: The Second Doctor era is the only one I've so far seen almost completely (missing episodes aside), since I only started watching Classic Who this summer with the Twitch marathon; so with other eras try to keep it so that I don't need to know a specific story to get it.
Fic Dislikes: Character death, mpreg, A/B/O universe, complete AUs like coffee shop/high school/werewolf/pirate, and modern AUs in general for non-modern canons, mundane AUs for SFF canons. Incest and seriously underage sex (under 16), rape/non con or very dubious consent. Homophobia, misogyny, racism, character bashing. Graphic violence, gore, war, torture, character death. Non-canonical first names or nicknames for characters, unless there’s a plot-reated reason. Unhappy endings.
Anything Extra:? I’d be happy with fan-art for the above characters and pairings, as well. Icons, graphics and recs are also good.
I’m not Christian or otherwise religious so please no religion-related wishes, but feel free to use the word Christmas.
Others: recommendations for drama podcasts, either SFF or historical (please no horror), preferably focused on female characters and/or queer or POC or other minority groups. My favourite is Girl in Space, but I’d love to find more. I have a problem with narrators speaking in really nasal or harsh accents/voices, and I’m not a native speaker of English, so speaking clearly is good.
Recommendations for good resources for queer history (esp. 19th century or earlier Europe).
Recommendations for good short stories (scifi, fantasy, historical fiction) that I can find online. Especially SFF stories published 2018, because I’m eligible to nominate for the Hugos and don’t know where to begin my reading. But please avoid stories with gore, graphic violence, rape, wars, very dark stuff and unhappy endings (ambiguous/bittersweet is fine).
Recommendations for geeky/fannish knitting/crochet patterns that aren’t too difficult or time- consuming.
I also like astronomy, ballet, tea. Popular science book recs (especially on physics, astronomy, natural history and evolution) are also welcome. Vegan/vegetarian recipes.
You can look at the exchanges tag in my journal for my exchange letters if you want to see prompts for a specific fandom/character. If you share with me a fandom I didn't mention here, feel free to do something for that as well, I just didn't want the letter to get unwieldy by putting in all my tiny fandoms.

Baked Mexican style vegetarian loaded sweet potato loaded with zesty black beans, melted cheese, salsa with a dollop of cream. What can be better than a 20 minute meal!
Ingredients:
• 4 medium sized sweet potatoes
• 1/2 cup fat free Greek yogurt (or light sour cream)
• 1 tsp taco seasoning
• 1 tsp olive or canola oil
• 1 red bell pepper, diced
• 1/2 red onion, diced
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1/2 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
• 1/2 tsp cumin
• a pinch of salt
• 1-1/3 cups canned black beans, rinsed and drained
• 1/2 cup mild or spicy salsa
• 1/2 cup reduced fat Mexican cheese blend
• 1/4 cup chopped scallions or cilantro
Directions:
1. Poke holes in the potato with a fork, cook on your microwave’s potato setting until potatoes are soft and cooked through (about 8-10 minutes on high for 4 potatoes). If you don’t have a microwave, bake about 45 minutes at 400°F.
2. Combine yogurt and taco seasoning in a small bowl, mix well.
3. Heat oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
4. Add peppers, onions, chili powder, paprika, cumin and salt; cook until the onions have caramelized slightly, about 5 minutes.
5. Add black beans, stir to combine and heat through (about another 5 minutes).
6. Slice the potato lengthwise down the middle or as I did in the photo, use a fork to pierce the top in an oval shape, then remove the top of each potato.
7. Top with 2 tbsp shredded cheese, 1/3 cup of black bean mixture, 2 tbsp Greek yogurt mixture and 2 tbsp salsa of salsa.
8. Enjoy!

The Best Ever Veggie Enchiladas
Ingredients
• 1 large onion, diced
• 5 large garlic cloves, minced or finely diced
• 1 large green pepper, diced
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 cup frozen corn kernels
• 2 tablespoons cream cheese
• 10 whole wheat tortillas
• 1 1/2 cups shredded mexican cheese
• 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 2 teaspoons cumin
• 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
• 1/2 large lime, juiced, plus more for serving
• 8 oz enchilada sauce
• avocado, for serving
• Sea salt
• Pepper
Directions
1. Combine onion, garlic, green pepper, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and ¼ teaspoon of sea salt and pepper in a large skillet
2. Sautee on medium high heat for 6-8 minutes, until onion becomes translucent
3. Add frozen corn kernels and sautee an additional 4-5 minutes, as corn defrosts
4. Add drained beans, cream cheese, ½ cup shredded mexican cheese, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, and the juice of half a large lime
5. Add salt and pepper to taste (I used an additional ½ teaspoon of each)
6. Build enchiladas using filling and place in a baking dish
7. Cover with enchilada sauce and remaining mexican cheese
8. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese becomes slightly crispy (turn up the heat if necessary towards the end for desired crisp) I broil on low the last couple of minutes to make the cheese browned, but if you do this be sure to watch closely so that you don't burn it.
9. Serve topped with fresh lime juice and avocado slices
10. Enjoy!

And with the recs, as I said, I have tried to make sure that they're reasonably spoiler-free, especially with Evelyn (as one particular spoiler tends to turn up in fic a lot - that's how I know it, as I haven't reached that bit myself yet!), as it's always so tantalising when you're at that bit where it's all shiny and you want to read stuff but you also want to stay unspoiled.

At Your Side
Rated G
Yaz couldn’t help count all the times the Doctor had told them to split up to investigate something, teaming Ryan and Graham together while she would always pair with Yaz. Sure, the Doctor must have a reason for constantly setting up this dynamic, but Yaz found it curiously noticeable.
The matchup became so commonplace that the Doctor needn’t say anything. Ryan and Graham would hover together, awaiting instructions from the Doctor while Yaz found her comfortable place by the Doctor’s side.
“Let’s go,” the Doctor would command, and eagerly she would hold out her hand, taking Yaz’s in hers as she pulled her along. The Doctor would give Yaz’s hand a tight squeeze before letting go and getting distracted by something.
Yaz observed the Doctor, how she moved, how her facial expressions changed with her frenetic thoughts, and how the Doctor would keep herself ten steps ahead of them all, which was her nature of course.
She felt privileged to be the one the Doctor chose at her side, where Yaz was level-headed, the Doctor needed her to feed into her plans and theories. Not only did they work well together, at that level, but also Yaz felt more comfortable by her side. Safe, even. More than anything, the Doctor made Yaz feel needed, squashing any loneliness she’d sometimes feel. Graham and Ryan had each other; they were family, and Yaz sometimes felt like the odd woman out.
Yet, not as long as she was with the Doctor.
“Alright, move along. The sonic is reading some odd spikes over in that room,” the Doctor said, as they investigated an abandoned spaceship that had somehow sent out a distress signal. Usually in these cases, the spaceships were never really abandoned.
Yaz nodded, falling behind the Doctor as she moved ahead. The Doctor altered her pace, falling instead next to Yaz’s side. The woman turned to Yaz and gave her a bright, excited smile, which was contagious. Yaz enjoyed the warmth she felt in her chest as the Doctor looked at her.
She only wished the Doctor would take her hand again. She knew it would happen; she just had to wait.

Thank you so much for the great Public Call gift you wrote me! It's always a blast to read some Who you wrote. :D

And sorry I didn't post you anything; I actually managed to totally miss your stocking (should have gone to look for the link in your journal; since it was tagged only with "doctor who" rather than "doctor who: modern" or "doctor who: classic" and I didn't remember to search for that tag, I missed it in my fandom tags search.) Though I mostly failed to finish my many started ficlets in time, so the chances are it'd have only been a generic greeting anyway. But I wish you happy 2019, too! And I'm super glad you enjoyed the Public Call gift, and thanks for all your lovely feedback! I'd been wanting to write something like that for a long time, and I'm always happy to write for you. ♥
