medie Theme: Reccer's Notes: You may have noticed by now that I'm extremely polyfannish. I love fanfic, and although I tend to gravitate towards (and away from) certain fandoms, ultimately the quality of writing is much more important to me than what fandom it is. You may also notice that I love awesome women.
medie is awesome and just what I like--lots of great fic in lots of fandoms, and lots of awesome women. Also, there can never be enough well-written genderswap in the world, and
medie does that too. I've only recced a few of her fics here, but there are so many more great ones you should check out.
Favorite Fanworks:
C'Thia. Loving someone doesn't mean you understand them. Loving a Vulcan definitely means you don't. Christopher Pike's in love with his science officer, Spock might be in love with him, but that's not even remotely close to the end of the story.
Kaiidth. She'd lived a lifetime in Spock's shadow. From the moment of their binding, she had been viewed as part and parcel to him. Awesome T'Pring AU.
Gotham (The Just When You Think You're Out Remix). "So let me get this straight," Angel says, "Batman got turned into a bat, a woman in fishnets turned him back, and you think your secretary is maybe a demon. That about cover it?"
Parenthetical. After Elizabeth Weir, John Sheppard, Rodney McKay, and Ronon Dex escape from the Asurans in Lifeline, the ZPM they risked everything for is drained of power during the city's landing on a new planet. Everything that Elizabeth knows about herself could change in a heartbeat. She fears that she could endanger those the loves, so she pushes them away, but John is determined not to let her deal with this on her own. (AU of Adrift)
Q&A. You didn't burn down your house, Mr. Wayne. Any idiot with a functioning brain can tell that for themselves.
