Theme: Minor characters
Summary: Nobody hears from Jack's clone for three years, until he shows up and tells Daniel they're all in danger. Hallowed be the Ori.
Reccer's Notes: Okay, in season 7 Jack O'Neill was cloned, and the clone looked like a 16 year old kid but had all his memories, and in the end they gave him a new identity and sent him off to high school, never to be seen or heard from again. Most fics about him are about how the rest of the team got themselves cloned so they can all live happily ever after (once the angst has turned into syrupy sweetness).
This is not that story. The first story in this series was written for
dark_gate , and yeah, it is dark. But OMG is it compelling--I hate darkfic and yet I couldn't stop reading it. I don't want to say anything else about it because I don't want to spoil it, but. Eeep. The ending will leave you hanging. Fortunately (or perhaps not, if you're into happy endings), Ivory Gates wrote some sequels, which are just as good, and I think are currently unlocked. (Alas, one of those sequels, "In the Kingdom of the Blind" is not on the web at the moment that I know of. If anyone has a working link, let me know and I'll add it.)
