Theme: Hurt/Comfort
Summary: Ray and Navi have their first multiple breeding, and Brad and Frost look after them when it's over.
Reccer's Notes: Set in a universe where a great many soldiers have a telepathic bond to their wolf and their pack (or unit) in a practice that is thousands of years old, with consequent changes to some of the ways the military works. Sequel to Which In Your Case You Have Not Got, which has a fair bit of worldbuilding in it, so you may want to read that first.
Kind of a heavy story: as the summary implies, there's some somewhat dubious consent going on, as the bonded wolf transmits their heat to their bonded partner, and the roles of the wolves translating the roles of the soldiers, kind of like dragonriders. But the concept of bringing someone back into their own control with another member of their pack is something I found to be powerfully and thoughtfully written.
