Hello! It's been a while since my last upload, so I thought I should give an update.

Last year was one of my most prolific composing years since perhaps 2018. I composed many pieces over the second half of 2025 that have not been uploaded yet — they're part of a collaborative OST with other Newgrounds composers. I'm awaiting the release, hopefully this summer. If you like the Souls/Elder Scrolls series OSTs, you'll likely greatly enjoy this project!

I'm currently working on my first track for the Art Inspired Music (AIM) contest. If all goes well, this will be one of my longest tracks, and it will feel more structurally complete compared to my previous submissions.

Over the past year, I feel I've uncovered some of the keys to writing good music that have eluded me for well over a decade. I must credit Ryan Leach's composition courses. He explains multiple levels of music theory in an easy-to-grasp manner, and he live-composes entire pieces while communicating his thoughts. And I must credit 8bit Music Theory's YouTube channel for explaining the writing behind some of the greatest video game compositions — I copied so much from this. These insights also gave me the prerequisite knowledge to start thinking about music more philosophically. By that, I mean that, aside from just making pleasant music with a certain vibe, I think about the music more broadly: What themes are in conflict with each other? How do the contour and rhythm of the motif and expanded melody relate to these themes? How does the instrumentation evolve with the themes? This line of thinking helps me compose pieces that sound more serious and self-reflective. There are some hints of this in my currently uploaded track, but not to the same extent as the unreleased pieces. I'm excited to eventually share them :)

After AIM, I hope to get back to my D&D inspired album, from @AEDA 's campaign. You can already listen to the first two tracks here.
