🚀 Grifols marks a major milestone in its SAP transformation in Spain We are among the first companies in Spain to adopt RISE with #SAP through a single-step brownfield approach, achieving a significant technology transformation while minimizing business disruption. The project includes the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA and the move to the RISE with SAP cloud environment, while preserving business-critical processes, data, developments and integrations built over almost 30 years. A meaningful milestone in clinical research 💙 Grifols announces completion of the Last Patient Last Visit (LPLV) in its phase 3 SPARTA study evaluating patients with emphysema due to alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency, or alpha-1. As the largest randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled augmentation therapy study in this patient population to date, SPARTA reflects an ongoing commitment to advancing scientific understanding and improving outcomes for people living with alpha-1. Progress in the fight against chronic hepatitis B 🔬   A newly published paper in Antiviral Research highlights GIGA-2339, an investigational first-in-class recombinant polyclonal antibody therapy developed by GigaGen Inc, a Grifols company. 🧬 The study demonstrated potent HBV neutralization, activity across all major HBV genotypes, and significantly greater potency than plasma-derived HBV hyperimmune products. These findings support the potential of GIGA-2339 to help advance a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B. With more than 240 million people living with HBV worldwide and no current cure for chronic infection, innovation in this space remains critical.   GIGA-2339 is currently being evaluated in a phase 1 clinical trial. Advancing care for people living with immune system disorders 💙 Grifols has dosed the first patients in 2 separate Phase 3 trials aimed at expanding US indications for our leading immunoglobulin (Ig) therapies. 🔬 SIGMA trial    Evaluating intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) in patients with secondary immunodeficiency (SID) associated with common blood cancers - with the goal of broadening access to IVIg therapy for those with weakened immune systems. 🧠 XPERT trial  Assessing whether a subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIg) therapy is non‑inferior to an IVIg option for treating chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP). This could potentially pave the way for a future subcutaneous alternative for this chronic autoimmune condition. Our Clayton site has once again been validated by UL Solutions as a Zero Waste to Landfill facility, achieving a 97% landfill diversion rate including 8% thermal processing with energy recovery. This recognition means the vast majority of the waste we generate is reused, recycled or recovered instead of ending up in a landfill. Grifols is pleased to announce that Dr. Melissa Sgodzai was named the recipient of the 2026 SPIN (Scientific Progress Immunoglobulins in Neurology) Award, which was presented by Prof. Claudia Sommer on behalf of the SPIN jury during the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS) Annual Meeting held in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Working to innovate for alpha-1 patients 💙 Grifols has officially dosed the first participant in SWIFT‑SC, a Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating a first‑of‑its‑kind subcutaneous (SC) formulation of Alpha1‑Proteinase Inhibitor for people living with alpha1‑antitrypsin (AAT) deficiency, or alpha-1. This global, open‑label study will compare 2 different weekly doses of subcutaneous Alpha-15% with corresponding standard intravenous Alpha1-PI doses.  🌟 Why this matters: Subcutaneous administration of medicines may provide meaningful benefits for patients including the possibility of self-administration and fewer clinic visits - providing greater flexibility in when and where treatment is administered. This builds on Grifols’ long-standing commitment to the alpha-1 patient community and to reaching those yet to be diagnosed.
