The EU’s first Ecodesign for Products Forum is a new initiative aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
If you aren't yet aware of the ESPR, it's designed to enhance product sustainability, reduce energy consumption and promote a more circular EU economy, all while boosting industrial competitiveness. It will also encourage innovation and strengthen the EU's reputation as a leader in sustainability.
The Forum itself – which you can find more info on here – is important because it brings together a wide range of relevant stakeholders, allowing the ESPR to be implemented in a more transparent and participatory way.
You can also watch our video of the event, where we speak to Forum participants and Commissioner Roswall, who also took part in the proceedings.
