Just a heads up, you’ll need a torrent client installed to make the Magnet button work. You’ll also need a DHT-capable client, and it’s a good idea to use a WebSeed-capable client for the quickest downloads. If you’ve got some extra bandwidth, keep your client open after downloading so you can share it with others!

Minimum system requirements
Our system needs at least 15GB of free disk space, 4GB of RAM, and a 64-bit dual-core Intel/AMD processor to run smoothly. The installer can still handle old-school systems, but it’s better to use it with modern EFI (UEFI) systems without going into legacy (CSM) mode.
EndavourOS uses the following preset packages
- Firefox: A super handy, free, and open-source web browser.
- Pacman: The go-to terminal package manager for Arch and EndeavourOS. It’s pretty neat!
- Yay: This one’s an AUR helper that makes installing stuff from the Arch User Repository a breeze. Totally worth checking out!
- FirewallD: A solid firewall that’s got your back with the default public zone running smoothly.
- Pipewire: A cool multimedia framework that’s low-level. It helps with audio and video capture and playback, all while keeping latency low. Supports PulseAudio, JACK, ALSA, and GStreamer—pretty awesome!
- EOS-hwtool: Our neat little hardware management tool for handling VM and GPU drivers.
- Dracut: A super flexible tool for whipping up initramfs images. And if you need it, you can convert it to mkinitcpio, no sweat.
- Power-profile-daemon: Lets you tweak system behaviour based on your power preferences, and it’s turned on by default!
- Glances: A handy cross-platform system monitoring tool written in Python.
Bootloader Selection
Our installer lets you choose between Systemd-boot and Grub for modern EFI systems, but if you’re on an older system, Grub’s your only buddy. Plus, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can skip the bootloader installation/setup and just add the OS to your existing bootloader yourself.
