Update
[edit]I think someone needs to update this article. Based on what I read Ted Stevens won another term dispite the fact that he is a felon. Can someone update this article?

- For what its worth, the race has not been called by anyone as of yet. There's apparently 80,000+ ballots to be counted according to [1]. Absentee and early votes (2/3 of that total) should be counted this Wednesday (the 12th), the remainder are questionable ballots. Although I do concede this article reads as if the election had not happened yet, so at least the tense needs to be fixed. Strato|sphere 05:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Election infobox
[edit]I'm curious why the nominee names aren't showing up in the infobox when they're in the code. Any ideas/fixes? Oo7akbnd (talk) 02:21, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I changed the "type" of election infobox from "Senate" to "presidential," and the names showed up.Oo7akbnd (talk) 04:23, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Missing image
[edit]Where's the image linked to in the infobox? It's currently a redlink. - dcljr (talk) 05:35, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Infobox image vote
[edit]To prevent an edit war with whomever the IP editor is, I cannot ping them as such, I believe it's best that we vote on what the best image for 2008 is. I believe Option A would be better since it's only a few months shy of the election (B is half a decade away) & thus better represents how he actually looked in 2008. B is also used in the 2002 race, where it makes more sense. Thus, I also believe that we should prevent repetitiveness. If the concern is with brightness, the image can be appropriately brightened. I vote for Option A.

- Hello. Although Option B is the higher quality version, Option A makes more sense since it was taken much closer to the election than Option B, as well as give the infobox it is situated more uniqueness, as all the other election infoboxes with Ted Stevens. I'd also like to point out that Mr. @AlaskaGal is one of the best Wikipedia users out there when it comes to everything Ted Stevens, so his input and changes to his wikis are in need of respect, and he also had the decency to start a talk page in order to rectify the situation. All in all, I vote Option A. NewDealChief (talk) 10:10, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

- Personally, I would have said option B is better as a) better resolution b) looking straight at the camera and c) it's only 3 years out of date from the election. But, I accept due process was followed. Gopchunk (talk) 00:15, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
