Dondo District is a district of Sofala Province in Mozambique. The principal town is Dondo. There is coastal forest which a species rich flora and fauna, including the Eastern honeyguide, White-breasted alethe, Bohm’s spinetail, Black-headed apalis, Speckle-throated and Spotted woodpecker, Red-winged warbler, Gunning’s robin, Violet-backed sunbird and Olive-headed weaver.
