First

So, who invented the first veggie burger? I can recall hearing of tofu burgers as early as the 1970s. They were mentioned in "Ruthless People." Morningstar Farms might be added to the list of popular vburgs. Flatulence concerns are not addressed, lol. This page could be linked from "soybean" or "borborygmus." Agriculture and ecology could be mentioned, such as huge soy surpluses.--Badmuthahubbard 21:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

McDonalds in Switzerland was offering the vegetarian "Vegi-burger" from 1996 onwards. source: https://www.mcdonalds.com/ch/de-ch/newsroom/article/News.make_it_veggie.html[1] 92.29.102.4 (talk) 22:11, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
