Buttercrambe is a small village in the Bossall and Buttercrambe parish, situated about 7 miles to the east of York. It, along with Bossall has a population of about 100 (2001 census). The village is centred by the Great Aldby Hall. Also centered around the Church of St. James the Evangalist.
