De chamar a atenção que se trata de um escudo esquartelado, em que figuram brasões diferentes provenientes de outras famílias nos vários quartéis. Assim temos que o 1º e 4º é Pinto, mas o 2º é Sequeira e 3º é Maciel.

Este escudo esquartelado foi passado a Inácio Pinto, familiar do Santo Ofício, consoante descrito em "Archivo Heraldico-genealogico", do visconde de Sanches de Baena, pág. 255.
