In October 2017, the [[House of Representatives (Philippines)|House of Representatives]] threatened not to renew the 25-year franchise of the CBCP's broadcast radio operations (including some of the CMN member stations), citing criticism on the [[Rodrigo Duterte|Duterte administration]] over [[Philippine Drug War|war on drugs]].
