Blue frog ATC trio - Sept Creative Artiste

Good Morning everyone

September has started so time for a new challenge over at Creative Artiste where the theme is anything goes MIXED MEDIA - we need at least 3 different mediums

I decided for a change to make a trio of ATC's.  I used this fab frog stamp set from aall&create and what I had left on my desk.  So we have a blue tree frog as I had scraps of this pale blue dotty paper.  I had a piece of inked background with shades of green, blue and pink which made my bases.

Each atc is 3.5x2.5" in size

I started by cutting my inked background to size, I then inked through a circle stencil with pearl white dora paint and through a dotty stencil with glossy glaze.  I added some text stamping in grey and a dotty mark stamp with green.

I stamped the lily pads onto lemon inked card which was on my desk but a good contrast to the blue.  I stamped the dragonflies and waterlily onto white card and coloured with alcohol markers in pink - this picks up on the touches of pink in the background.

Stamped the words onto more of the dotty paper, cut out and arranged  to finish.  See below for each individual atc

You can make out the pearl stenciling better here.  I used a yellow paint pen to add colour to the frogs spots.

Photos don't show it well, but the bottom left corner you can just make out the glossy glaze dots.  I inked over them with stormy sky distress ink and the glaze resists it, also inked all the edges with the stormy sky.

For this happy chappy - by that expression he must be feeling croak😆, I torn a scrap of white card, inked blue and added to the bottom to 'ground' him & added a few doodles with a fine liner to give a water like effect.  I had a die cut piece of foliage left over which i added behind him.

Heres the background before adding the extras, you can just make out in the light the shimmer of the white dora paint on the bigger stencilled circles and the glossy glaze with the small dotty stencil...also some of the ink sprayed background was pearlised so when the light hits them they shimmer and dance with the different finshes

Items Used:
Aall&create stamps #521 'Be hoppy'
Cosmic shimmer airless misters - green, pink & pearl teal
Cosmic shimmer glossy glaze
Cadence Dora paint 'white'
Distress Inks - stormy sky, picked raspberry, wild honey, lemonade
Posca paint pen - yellow
Stencils - circles & dotty
Patterned paper scraps

Do hop over to Creative Artiste to see what the rest of the DT created and to join in with your multiple different mediums projects

Thank you for stopping by.  Due to the vertigo and nausea Im not getting much serious crafting done so thankfully I was very well prepared with my DT projects, still hoping to get my 'new' eyes soon! So I apologise for not keeping up with comments on your projects but about 5mins of screen time is all i can manage before having to lie down again.  Big hugs to you all Emmax

Kitty-Bea is 6

Good Morning everyone

My niece Kitty-Bea was 6 at the weekend and i made this fun frog wiper card for her.  Its my first attempt at a wiper card.  I dug out the 'happy' aall&create frog stamps which are just ideal for Kitty-Beas sense of humour

A6 size.  I used step by step beccysplace.tutorial-wiper-cards. to make my base card for white cardstock, i added to 'wiper' tabs using acetate.  I then decorated all the sides with water themed papers.

I stamped all the frog and elements in green ink, watercoloured with distress inks and cut out.  I then got arranging my scene.  I stamped the words again in the green ink on white card and cut out.  I added gold glitter glue to the waterlily centres and diamond glitter glue to the damsel fly wings

I computer printed my sentiment and die cut into circles, i die cut 2 extra circles and attached to the wiper element, one each side of the acetate to give them strength and hide the glue

as you pull out the side panels the sentiments start to flip upwards

Showing them fully up

Just showing from above

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'be hoppy'
12x12 paper pad 'feeling fresh' from the works
Distress inks - twisted citron, picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, lucky clover, rustic wilderness, evergreen bough
Ranger stickles 'diamond & copper'

Thank you for stopping by, i hope you all have a good week.  Hugs Emmax

Thank you

Good Morning everyone.

Today im sharing thank you cards i made to send to the lovely people who sent me a birthday gift

5x5" kraft card base.  I was given this fab aall&create frog stamp set so this is his first outing.  I dug out a gelli print background and layered onto my base card after adding some pond weed at the bottom with a stencil and oxide ink.  I stamped the frog onto a piece that was used as clear up in my gelli printing and is orange and pink neon acrylic paint.  I added some white pen details and glued to the base. I added a few pearls to finish.

Frog version 2.  5.5x5.5" white base card.  Another gelli print background in pinks & lilacs.

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'ribbet ribbet'
lavinia stamps stencil 'pebble'
Triangular stencil
Pebeo acrylic paints
Daler rowney neon paint

and now something totally different, i was given this beautiful lace embossing folder which i have had on my wish list for quite a while

A5 size.  My friends fav colour is purple so i found this lovely patterned paper in a 12x12 pad from the works.  I dug out a soft grey pearl cardstock for my base and to emboss, lightly inking the embossing with seedless preserves oxide ink. I cut a panel of the paper smaller than my base card and bigger than the embossed panel and die cut the thankyou die from the middle - this would be hidden, it just makes the paper go further!  I added both the paper and embossed panel to the base card offset so that you could see the paper.

On an offcut of the grey pearl card i die cut thank you again and coloured it purple, i used this for a drop shadow on the paper thank you version and glued to the middle of the embossed panel.  From some of the patterned paper i cut out some of the flowers and arranged on the front.  Gold glitter glue accents to finish.

and version 2, a more tropical vibe, i used cream pearl this time, the photos don't show but embossing the pearl cardstock gives a lovely shimmer as the light hits the different levels in the embossing.

Items Used:
Paper pad from the works 'watercolour feeling'
Cheerynlynn thank you die
Crafters companion 3D embossing folder 'ornate lace'
Rangers stickles fruit punch, gold

Thank you all for stopping by once again.  I hope you all have a good day.  Hugs Emmax

Hoppy Birthday

Good Morning everyone

Today is 2 cards made using the hoppy frog stamps from aall&create, teamed up with feeling fresh paper pad from the works and sizzix polaroid frame die.

7x7" card.  I first stamped all the images onto white card and watercoloured with distress inks and cut them out.  I then die cut the smallest polaroid frame from white card and matted them onto navy blue cardstock, i then die cut the frame again from a patterned paper and glued the paper into the frame as a background for my frogs.  I then stamped the words with blue ink and glued the frogs into place with glue gel.

I matted a square of paper onto navy and then the base card.  I added a strip of one of the papers to the base and then a large paper circle die cut.  All the papers are from the same paper pad.  I glued the polaroid frames into place with glue gel and got arranging all the extras around them.  I added orange glitter dots to finish, picking up on the orange ink i used on the frogs eyes and the damselflies.

Just a close up, i used glossy accents on the frogs eyes and glitter glue in the middle of the waterlily.

and version 2
Made the same way, only this time i used a soft orange for my mat layers, picking up on the orange accents in my characters and also using paler patterned papers.  Green gems to add some bling to finish.

Items Used:
Aall&create stamps 'be hoppy'
Sizzix polaroid frame dies
Spellbinders grand circle dies
Make&create paper pad from the works 'feeling fresh'
Distress inks - squeeshed lemonade, twisted citron, evergreen bough, blueprint sketch, ripe persimmon

Thank you all for stopping by once againx

Lots of frogs

Good Morning everyone

Today is some more of those really happy aall&create frogs in action - their expressions just crack me up making me smile every time i see them.....kind of remind me of one of my brothers😁.  When the frogspawn arrives in the pond we know spring is finally on its way, it was late this year, so much so that we were beginning to think we wouldn't get any so were all delighted to see the first frog spawn and had several since.

When i first used these stamps i stamped and coloured alot of them as i dislike colouring so tend to do several at the same time, so ive finally got around to using them again, they were all watercoloured with oxide inks.  All papers from a lovely paper pad from the works

5x7" white base card.  I cut a piece of paper to fit the base and a mat layer of navy blue cardstock, from the paper piece i die cut the memory box splashing puddles die - this has a lovely water drop background, i added silver holographic behind and attached to the base. The holographic really shimmers when the light hits it - kind of like how the sunlight plays on the water.

I then got arranging all the stamped images, add stamped sentiments and a few touches of glitter glue to finish.

Version 2 made the same way but this time i used 2 different patterned papers, having the join where the die cut puddles are.  - you cna really see the holographic peeking through on this one behind the puddles.  A different layout with the frogs and quote from the stamp set.

and lastly a DL card using the leftovers, i added a water paper to the background and die cut circles of another paper from the pad mounted onto larger white circles...........i thought it kind of had the effect of looking like them floating about on the water, relaxing on their day off😁

Items Used:
aall&create stamps 'be hoppy'
Memory  box die 'splashing puddles'
12x12 paper pad - the works 'fresh feeling'
Silver holographic cardstock
Navy & white cardstock
Distress oxide inks - twisted citron, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry, evergreen bough, denim, fossilized amber

Thank you all for popping by and all your amazing comments you take the time to leave.  Hugs Emmax

Froggy twist n' pop card

Good Morning everyone.
Earlier in the year when i made my first twist n'pop i made up 6 of the mechanisms (see here) so they were ready to go when the inspiration hit - when i received these happy frog stamps i thought they would suit a twist n' pop perfectly.  I teamed them up with the gorgeous water theme paper pad from the works.

After attaching the mechanism to the inside of a white cardblank (5x6.5") i decided which papers i wanted to use, cut to size and matted onto navy cardstock and all the panels. I also covered the front of the card and from scraps of that paper i followed the lines in the print to cut little pieces for the bottom of my pop panels for my frogs to sit on.

I stamped out all the stamps many times onto white cardstock and watercoloured with distress inks and cut out.  I then got playing with the arrangements until i was happy.  I cut some of the petals of the extra waterlily so that it was smaller to fit on the smaller lily pad.

Of course i had to add glossy accents to the frogs eyes and glitter glue hightlights to the damselfly wings

This is just showing the twist and pop as it opens up - very clever the person who first designed it!

and the front of my card, i added glossy accents to the circles on the paper as they reminded me of bubbles and die cut letter for the 'pond life'    Looking at the expressions on all these frogs im not sure they are having that much fun in this pond😁  however i had lots of fun creating with themx

 Items Used:
Aall&create stamps #521 be hoppy
The works 12x12 Paper pad - fresh feeling
Alpha dies
Navy & white linen cardstock
Distress Inks - twisted citron, lemonade, evergreen bough, raspberry, persimmon, blueprint, shaded lilac
Ranger glossy accents & Stickles glitter glue

Thank you all for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and into the weekend.  Its scary that we are half way through October now.  Hugs Emmaxx

Box of frogs

Good Morning everyone, i hope you all had a good weekend.

This box card came about as i was wondering what to do with little strips of acetate, its actually my first ever box card.   Its ideal for my niece Alice's 6th birthday tomorrow.

I found a template on pinterest to make the base of my box card from A4 dark blue pearl card, i cut and matted papers from a gorgeous paper pad from the works onto all the sides.  I used a floral on the base and then a swimming pool paper for the rest.  I kind of had the thought the frogs left the garden and having fun in the pool to cool off in the summer heat😁  We often find frogs hopping around my mums garden, she has a little pond that they love.

The frogs are from an old daisytrail digi kit which i printed at various sizes onto 300gsm white card and cut them out.  I coated them in mod podge to stiffen them a bit to make them stand up better to alot of handling! I decided which ones i wanted to leap out the box and glued the acetate strips to the back of them and then glued the other end into the box.  I arranged all the rest on the flaps.  Computer printed sentiment to finish.

I added touches of glitter glue to the frogs for a little bit of bling

and just showing how it all folds flat to fit in an envelope.

and card 2 for my parents to give Alice.  Alice has always had a fascination with feathers since she was a toddler and as you can imagine collected a vast amount living on a farm and all wildlife in the surrounding countryside😁  I decided to use these feathers ive had in my stash for eons.  It gets harder to come up with different ideas for them all 5 nieces.

6x6 White cardbase.  I matted a blue and green feather paper onto the front.   Computer printed sentiment die cut into a circle, layered with foam tape onto a larger white circle.  I die cut another circle which i glued the blue & green feathers onto with glue gel, i then added my sentiment topper on top.

Items Used:
Frog digis - daisytrail Louise Mulgrew 'Wild love'
Paper pads - frog box 'fresh feeling' from the works
paper pad - feathers 'beautiful nature' from B&M
Feathers
White & Blue pearl card
Wonky stitched circle dies
Oval dies
acetate strips

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you all have a good week.  Hugs Emmaxxx
