Why you got this

This address has a spam complaint, a bounce or a suppression on record, it was marked undeliverable, or it is on a disposable email domain, so it cannot be added to a list.

What to do

Do not retry, and do not treat this as a duplicate contact. Tell your user the address cannot be emailed, and check it for a typo: a corrected address is a different contact and can be added normally.

How it arrives

Every failure on the API is an RFC 7807 problem document, sent asapplication/problem+json. Branch on type — or on its last segment, which is the code above — rather than ontitle or detail, which are prose and may be reworded.
