Pottery Classes and Workshops

Curious about clay?
Fancy getting your hands dirty and making something beautiful?
At Earth2ware, I offer a range of relaxed, friendly pottery classes and workshops in my dedicated studio in Callington. Whether you’re a complete beginner, looking for a mindful creative break, or keen to build your pottery skills, there’s a seat at the wheel for you.
What We Offer
– **Pottery Classes:** Weekly sessions where you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing, hand-building, and glazing. I keep class sizes small (max 9 people) so everyone gets plenty of attention and guidance.
– **Workshops:** One-off or short series workshops focused on specific techniques or projects—think mugs, bowls, or seasonal pieces. Perfect if you want to try something new or make a unique handmade gift.
– **Paint-a-Pot Sessions:** Fun, drop-in sessions for all ages—choose a ready-made piece and decorate it your way. Great for families, friends, or a creative afternoon out.
– **Wheel Experiences:** Always wanted to try the potter’s wheel? Book a taster session and see what you can create in just a couple of hours—no experience needed!
### What to Expect – All materials, tools, and aprons provided—just bring your curiosity (and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit mucky!) – Each session is relaxed, supportive, and tailored to your pace. – You’ll learn real pottery techniques, from centering clay to glazing your finished piece. – I’ll fire your creations in my studio kiln, ready for you to collect and take home.
### Why Join a Class?
– **Relax & Unwind:** Pottery is the perfect way to slow down and switch off from the everyday rush.
– **Meet New People:** Our classes are friendly and sociable—come solo or bring a friend.
– **Make Something Unique:** There’s nothing like the feeling of holding a mug or bowl you made yourself.
– **Support Local:** By joining a class, you’re supporting a small, independent studio and the local creative community.
If you’re interested in private group sessions, parties, or bespoke workshops, I’m always happy to chat about options.

From Our Students

We had a lovely introduction to pottery and the use of the potters wheel with Miranda. We had such a laugh and a great time. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Miranda has a real passion for her craft which is evident in her products. She has a great way of teaching and encouraging. I only wish she lived nearer to me now .
