Jacob's 1st pin!

Jacob's first big wrestling tournament was held at Weber Highschool in North Ogden. There were several schools there which meant a ton of wrestlers. They had it really well organized though so we were in and out in an hour. Jacob did a great job but did seem a little tired. He barely lost his first two matches and then won his third match with a pin. It was Jacob's first pin. When he got the kid on his back Jacob immediately slapped the mat to indicate a pin, he did not realize that the ref did this. We were laughing pretty hard! It was very cute to see how excited he was!

So it has taken a lot longer to build our house then we anticipated. We finally closed on our construction loan on September 30th and construction began pretty soon after that. Here are pictures from the beginning to what it looks like now! It is quite exciting for us!

November!

The first part of November my sister-in-law Beth and I threw a shower for our niece Sarah who is getting married on December 19th. Her mom Marla(Doug's sister) was in town so it was a great time to do the shower. We had it at Beth's house in Spanish Fork. It was a fun shower! We played a fun game with dividing in teams and having to make a wedding dress out of toilet paper! Sarah picked the winner! Megan, Amanda, and Marisa were the models.

The next day Doug and the kids and I went back down to Spanish Fork to visit with Marla and have a family get together with everyone that lives here in Utah.

The kids had a fun time playing in the snow for the first time! I snuggled Isaac up and took him outside to help me hang up Christmas lights!This is us shopping for a present of cousin Tay who was turning one. This is my usual way of shopping, a kid on each side and Isaac on the middle. I have found that I don't like shopping too much with the kids those because we usually are quite a spectacle.

Tay had fun eating his birthday cake! It was pretty funny though because he would not touch the cake that Camillia made just for him that was a yellow cake. But as soon as she put a piece of chocolate cake on his tray he went to town! That's my kind of boy!
It had been a really long time since we have been to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. Jacob and Brynlee really enjoys watching Dinosaur Train on PBS so we decided to take a trip to the park. We had a blast and knew quite a bit about the dinosaurs from the show!

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween with lots of activities leading up to Halloween. A couple weeks before Halloween we attended a Halloween party for the kids at our good friends the Ingles. Debbie and Rob did a great job having fun activities and the kids loved it!

Syracuse city does a Pumpkin walk every year where people from the community bring carved pumpkins for the display. It was pretty impressive. Before the pumpkin walk to attended Scary Stories story time at the library. Jacob had been looking forward to that for a while!

We also went to a pumpkin patch and got to pick out lots of pumpkins. We rode on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. We went with Camillia and Spencer and Tay!

Friday before Halloween I took the kids and went with Camillia to Spencer's work for trick or treating. Spencer works with Doug's brother Ryan so we got to see him too!

We then got back home in time for Doug and I to attend our ward's Adult Halloween party. Doug and I were Zombies! I am on the RS committee that planned the party and it turned out great! It was lots of fun! On Halloween day my brother-in-law was pretty sick so Doug stayed and helped with him while my mom and I took Jacob, Brynlee, and Tay trick-or-treating. Isaac stayed with Kalie. We had a fun time and they got lots of candy! Jacob was a fireman each time, Isaac was Tigger, and Brynlee was something different each time which included Sleeping Beauty, Tinkerbell and Rosetta Fairy. We had a great Halloween!

September and October Fun!

September and October were fun months! In September I started a preschool for Jacob and Brynlee. Because we are in the middle of houses I thought it would be best if I just did one with them. It is going well and they are enjoying it. In October we went to Camillia's house where she taught Jacob and Brynlee how to make paper mache pinatas. We made them look like pumpkins!

We have actually started another little preschool with a little boy in our ward. His mom and I take turns on Tuesdays and Thursdays teaching the kids. It is working out pretty well.

One of Doug's exciting things for this fall was to get season tickets to BYU.

He has been a little disappointed with their loses but has still had fun. I went with him to the FSU and TCU games(too bad they lost both of these games) and Jacob went with him to the CSU game. The other tickets we sold to Kalie and on ebay. But we plan on going to the Utah game.

In the beginning of October the kids and I took a trip to Craig Colorado to visit my sister Mendy and her family. We had a great time. We even went to the Homecoming parade which brought back a lot of memories for me!
