"3-2-1 Recipe"

THING 1  Double Trouble 

says, "This morning I woke up with The Tra La La Song playing in my head... 'One Banana, Two Banana, Three Banana, Four.  Four bananas make a BUNCH and so do many more.'  Since National Banana Split Day is celebrated on Sunday, Aug 25th... let's do a BUNCH of layers using the recipe below from our kitchen."

3-2-1 Banana Split Recipe      

Three (3) Layers in addition to the card base,

Two (2) Embellishments, and

One (1) Image. The image can be stamped, hand-drawn, digital, or die-cut; your image need not be food.

Directions: To enhance the recipe you may use more than the ingredients stipulated but must meet the minimum required.

THING  3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "Hey! Color Dare has an Ice Cream Inspiration Photo and the colors are perfect for our recipe.  My optional twist is to include at least three colors from their Inspiration Photo for an additional chance in our random drawing."  

BUT BEWARE. You must use at least three of the colors included in the Inspiration Photo. Neutrals are acceptable and you may add more flavor with metallics, holographic, and glitter elements.

If you have followed the colors on the Inspiration Photo you have earned another chance in our random drawing and have qualified to participate in Double Dare's Thing 2 below.  

THING 2   Double Dare

"Love Is in the Air"  

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker

says, "I recently heard an old song, Love Is in the Air, and it reminded me that February is considered the month for love - and Valentine's Day is almost here.  Hearts and flowers are ways to express love.  This is also an opportunity to show that love is in the air - use birds, butterflies, dragonflies, bees, clouds, sunshine, balloons, or maybe even a parachute!  

Create a project for the special person in your life inspired by the song "Love is in the Air".  Use your imagination or perhaps the song will provide inspiration for your project.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "Do I have a dare for you - a color challenge at Color My Heart Color Dare #586. These colors are perfect to use with our challenge.  

DARE BUT BEWARE. You must use only the colors included in the color board, or their closest matches, and you must use at least three of the colors. All neutrals are acceptable and you can bring in a little more love with glitter and metallics.  

Optional Twist:  This is my optional twist and if you have used at least three colors from our partner's Color Board you will earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING  2:  Double Dare 

says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement "Love is in the Air" and used the Color Dare Board #586, you are eligible to enter your project HERE at Color My Heart Color Dare #586 and you will qualify for an additional chance in our random drawing."

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker 

says, "Technically summer begins on June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere, but any sunny day is a good time to get started on these warm weather must-dos. Grab your beach towel, set up the grill or fire pit, and get ready to spend some quality time with your friends and family. This is the summer you were daydreaming about during the cold winter months so let's squeeze in "s'more" extra time together and create a summer project. 

"Take a look at the fun photo provided by our partner. This photo includes enough summer colors from which to select three colors of your choice and perhaps provides ideas for your summer theme."

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "I believe there is something missing from that summer photo. Just think - where would you be without your flip-flops? Did you know that June 9th is National Flip-Flop Day?  It's time to bare our toes to the sun. Ditch those clammy, hard leather shoes, and even your comfortable sneakers, and slip into your flip-flops. Going almost shoeless is as much a summer tradition as baseball, hot dogs, and the beach. My optional twist is to include a flip-flop(s) in your project."

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Remember you are welcome to use any products as long as you use only colors in the inspiration photo. Select at least three colors from the photo, AND, to make it even better, you are free to use Black, White, neutrals, and metallics. Be sure to mention in your post at least three colors that you selected.

This Challenge runs from Friday, Jan 6th thru Thursday, Jan 19th

"Cuddle Up" 

There are several parts to this challenge, 

but the only requirement is to play along with Thing 1.

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker

says, "Today is Cuddle Up Day so let's celebrate and stir up some trouble in Double Trouble's Kitchen with a Warm and Cuddly 3-2-1 Recipe that can be used for any occasion." 

Recipe:     Warm & Cuddly 3-2-1 Recipe

Servings:  Unlimited Portions of Fun

Ingredients:  

     3  Colors of your choice     

     2  Layers 

     1  Warm & Cuddly Image 

         Use a stamped or digital image, or 

         one that is die-cut or hand-drawn

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "Look at me... sitting on Color Dare's Color Board.  These are such pretty colors and are perfect to use for our Warm & Cuddly Recipe above.   

My optional twist is you MUST use ALL three colors on the Board (Desert Rose, Peach and Sage) or a very close match, and neutrals are free.  And don't think about using additional colors because that could mean Double Trouble at Color Dare.

Optional Twist:  If you have followed the rules on the Color Board you have earned another chance in our Random Draw and will qualify to participate in Double Dare's Thing 2 below.   

Thing 2:  Double Dare says, "If you have met Thing 1's Special 3-2-1 Warm & Cuddly Recipe and have followed the rules of the Color My Heart Color Dare's #530 "Triple Pay", you are eligible to enter your project HERE for another chance in the Double Trouble Random Drawing."
