WELCOME to Challenge #219 - Let the Troubles Begin!
Challenge runs from Monday, June 22nd thru Sunday, July 5th

Here is Thing 1's 3-2-1 Recipe - "It's Going to be a Long Day"
Servings - Unlimited Portions of Fun
Specific information is available by clicking on each ingredient.
Layers (Card base can be counted)
        Images
        Slimline Card (Regular or Mini)

Directions: You MUST include at least the required minimum of each ingredient for successful results and a chance in our random drawing... but you may enhance your project by using more than the ingredients stipulated.

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "Summer Solstice is the start of summer and the longest day of the year. The amount of daylight only gets shorter from here, but we still have time to create a long card (aka Slimline) during the next two weeks. Let's roll out those lazy, crazy, hazy days of summer as we look forward to celebrating the longest day, or any occasion, with a Slimline card using our 3-2-1 Recipe above.

You can stop here...
OR
play along with Thing 3's Optional Twist and/or Thing 2's Optional Dare and earn additional chances in our random drawing.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "It’s time to enjoy vacations, great weather, pools, baseballs, and everything else that goes along with the season. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the season, because for many of us, it is all too short.

"I love fireworks! Do you know why fireworks go to school? To gain more 'POP-ularity'! Fireworks are a great way to celebrate, but you don't have to use fireworks; simply use glitter and/or sparkle in your project and show us your 'POP-ularity.'"

If you have included my optional twist in your project, you will earn another chance in our Random Drawing.

THING 2:  Double Dare
says, "Click on my clipart to the left for a sneak peek of the sketch from our sister challenge, Try a Sketch On Tuesday #698. My optional dare is to combine this sketch with our Double Trouble 3-2-1 recipe, 'It's Going to be a Long Day'.  If you do, you will be awarded TWO additional chances in our random drawing.

"Please note that TSOT starts Tuesday June 23rd, so this sneak peek gives you the day before to create; but remember... to prevent backlinking, your project should not be posted, published, or entered before June 23rd, in Try a Sketch On Tuesday."

When using TSOT and/or our Alternate Challenges, please include the Challenge name(s) next to the DTC link in your post so you are eligible for the additional chances in our random drawing.

WELCOME to Challenge #217 - Let the Troubles Begin!
Challenge runs from Monday, May 25th thru Sunday, June 7th

We welcome you to join us in commemorating our 8th Anniversary. Our Challenge is special to the "Things and Sneetches" who serve on Double Trouble's Design Team. Inspired by the imagination and humor of the late Dr. Seuss, we adopted our names and images from his writings, hoping to encourage paper crafters to use their talents to cheerfully create.

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "National Brown Bag-It Day and Double Trouble's 8th Anniversary are both celebrated on May 25th. We have appreciated your participation in our challenges over the past eight years, so we are having our third annual Celebratory Raffle event to show our appreciation. But first, let me finish my bagged lunch, and then we will begin the raffle.

"It's time to pull out the brown paper bag with Raffle tickets and give the bag a shake. Then it's your turn to pick a ticket and create a project based on its theme. Each project may be submitted to only one Raffle Category
however, you can have up to 4 Entries for each Color Raffle Ticket

1. Anniversary or Wedding (Yellow Ticket)
2. Father's Day or Masculine (Blue Ticket)
3. Birthday (Pink Ticket)
4. Graduation (Green Ticket)

You can stop here...
Or
play along with Thing 3's optional twist to use Kraft or Kraft-like elements and/or consider Thing 2's optional dare to use TSOT's Sketch Challenge to earn additional chances in our random drawing.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "I am celebrating National Brown Bag-It Day with Trouble Maker and have decided to use my brown paper bag for one of the Celebratory Raffle choices.

"My optional twist is to use Kraft paper, Kraft-colored cardstock, a brown paper bag, or any product made from Kraft-like paper in your project. Kraft can be used in any of these categories and is a perfect accompaniment to many combinations of colors and/or patterns."

Optional Twist: If you have included Kraft or Kraft-like paper in your project, you will earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING 2:  Double Dare
says, "AND DON'T FORGET... Our Sister Challenge, Try A Sketch on Tuesday #696, joins us in celebrating our Double Trouble 8th Anniversary. Click on my clipart to the left to see the sneak peek of their sketch. Combine this sketch with our Double Trouble 'Celebratory Event Raffle' and you will be awarded TWO additional chances in our random drawing.

"Please note TSOT
starts on May 26th, so this sneak peek gives you the day before to create; but remember... to prevent backlinking, your project should not be posted, published, or entered before May 26th in Try a Sketch On Tuesday HERE."

Special Notes: If you use the TSOT sketch, include TSOT's name next to the DTC link in your post. You are now eligible for any extra chances in our random drawing. TSOT has a great sketch that you could use in any of the Raffle Categories. Wouldn't it be cool to see your cards using the same TSOT Sketch especially for each Raffle Ticket?

Before we go to our December Challenge, please note our
Change in Start Dates for December and January

Challenge #128 "SomeThing AnyThing, EveryThing" will start on December 29th ending on January 5th instead of our usual 5th Monday of the month to accommodate our Friday Challenges for January.

January Challenges:  Since we have lost some of our Monday partners, we have confirmed two challenges that start on Friday, January 6th and January 20th.  February we will be back to 1st and 3rd Monday challenges.

WELCOME to Challenge #127 - Let the Troubles Begin!
This challenge runs from
Friday, December 2nd thru Wednesday, December 28th, 2022
"Kaleidoscope of Colors"
Your Theme, and Choose Thing 1, 2 or 3 for your Palette of Color(s)
Since our Challenge is for the full month of December you can have up to eight entries.

Thing 1: Trouble Maker
says, "If you are seeking open challenges in December this is the challenge for you. Here is your opportunity to finish cards for the winter holidays, or perhaps for any other occasions you choose.  You are free to pick any theme and your favorite color palette.

"In addition to my randomly drawn prize, Twisted Sister and Double Dare will each have their own random draw so you may wish to consider their favorite color palettes provided by our partner, Colorful Options. (My regular random draw will include all entries including these special color palettes.) We can't wait to see what you create."

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Oh my, I just came back from checking out the Colorful Options Challenge inspiration photo which elicits images of snow, weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Wow! 'White' is their color of the month. There is nothing as chic as an all-white design.

"Use your imagination and rely on textures and layering from things in your stash such as embossing folders, stitching, frame and image dies, doilies, other white embellishments, etc. As an exception, you may use black or a choice of one other color for the sentiment and/or for a minimal splash of color. Just keep your project predominantly white.”

Thing 2: Double Dare
says, "After reviewing the inspiration photo, I fell in love with the Colorful Options Challenge 'Rainbow of Color' choice. It may not be as chic as Twisted Sister thinks of her white project but a 'Rainbow of Color' is very creative with so many happy colors.

"For 'Rainbow of Color' you are free to use the Traditional RYOGBV. However, you are not limited to a traditional palette. Feel free to use a pastel palette OR a neon palette of rainbow colors."

We are partnering with the Colorful Options Challenge. For additional details on their color options read their guidelines on the sidebar of their blog challenge. If you have created a project using 'Winter White' and/or 'Rainbow of Colors' enter your project HERE at the Colorful Options December Challenge for another chance in our regular or special random draw prizes.
