START WITH THE DOCUMENT IN FRONT OF YOU.

PDF PDFW DOCXT TXTX XLSX / XLS, CSV

Search PDF, Word, text, Excel, and CSV files with AI: a contract, a policy, or a workbook. One file at a time.

ASK → FIND → ANSWER → VERIFY

From question to source in one click.

No need to know the document’s exact words, or what “semantic search” means.

01

Ask

Upload a PDF, DOCX, TXT, XLSX, XLS, or CSV file, then ask in your own words: “How can I improve visibility?”

02

Find

DocuLocate finds the strongest supporting passages by combining keyword and meaning-based search, so wording does not have to match.

03

Answer

Get a focused answer. It is taken word for word from your document by default; add your own AI provider to have AI interpret and rerank the evidence and write it.

04

Verify

Click the answer or a source to jump to the passage in the original document, highlighted so you can check it. Hide the highlight to read in peace.

THE DIFFERENCE

Don’t just get an AI answer.
See where the answer came from.

Don’t trust an answer blindly. Jump to the evidence.

FIND THE ANSWER

The answer, linked to its source

Every answer and result is connected to the passage it came from, whether that is a PDF page, a stretch of a Word file, or a spreadsheet row.

SEE THE EVIDENCE

Highlighted in the original

Select an answer and the supporting text is highlighted in the original document. Select it again to hide the highlight.

READ THE CONTEXT

Verify it yourself

Read the surrounding text before you rely on anything. DocuLocate makes answers easier to check against your document; it does not promise they are always right.

How source verification works

TWO WAYS TO USE YOUR DOCUMENT

Search to find the evidence.
Ask to analyze the whole document.

Two different jobs, one text box. Choose Search | Ask beside it.

SEARCH

Find answers, not just keywords.

Ctrl+F only finds the words you already know. Search finds passages by meaning and intent, then connects the answer to its source. Ask “How can I improve visibility?” and it can find the relevant passage even when those exact words never appear. Choose Hybrid (the default), Semantic, or Lexical for exact text.

Search documents by meaning
ASK

Ask your document anything.

Ask sends your question and the whole document to the AI provider you choose, for summaries, explanations, key points, and broader analysis. It needs your own AI provider and key, and its answers are not linked to a highlighted passage, so use Search to check them.

DOCULOCATE — CTRL+F FOR MEANING

Ctrl+F matches words.
DocuLocate matches meaning.

Ctrl+F searches for matching characters and words. DocuLocate searches for concepts, intent, and meaning. When you do need the exact text, Lexical search works like Ctrl+F too.

Your document.
Your search.

Your file is processed on the application server and kept in memory, private to your browser or account. No account is needed to search. Recent-file history can also save a copy in this browser.
