# GitHub

> Connect your organization, choose a repository, and receive your first pull request review.

<Note>
  Using a self-hosted GitHub Enterprise Server? Follow the [GitHub Enterprise setup guide](/setup/github_enterprise).
</Note>

## Before you begin

* A GitHub account with access to the organization and repository you want reviewed.
* A repository where you can open a pull request.

Your organization may require an owner to approve the GitHub App installation. See [GitHub's installation requirements](https://docs.github.com/en/apps/using-github-apps/installing-a-github-app-from-a-third-party).

## Connect your organization

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign in with GitHub">
    Open the [CodeAnt AI dashboard](https://app.codeant.ai) and choose GitHub to sign in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect your organization">
    Follow the onboarding prompts to connect the GitHub organization you want to use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your repositories">
    Select the repositories CodeAnt AI should access. Start with one repository so you can try a review before connecting more.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Get your first review

Open a pull request in a connected repository. CodeAnt AI reviews new pull requests automatically and posts its feedback directly on the PR.

When CodeAnt finds an issue, its inline comment explains the problem, its severity, and a suggested fix. See [how to read a review comment](/pull_request/features/code_review) for an example.

To review an existing PR or rerun a review, post this comment on the pull request:

```text theme={"theme":"css-variables"}
@codeant-ai: review
```

CodeAnt AI re-analyzes the latest changes and posts updated review feedback.

<Tip>
  After receiving a review, try [asking CodeAnt a question](/pull_request/features/chat) about a finding or the changes in your PR.
</Tip>
