May. 20th, 2009 02:02 pmHowdy, DreamWidth users! This is my first real DW update (ie an entry that hasn't been imported from LJ); I shouldn't be as excited as I am about this. Actually, that whole being excited concept has been happening more than usual lately, which is odd (considering that I'm bored as hell stuck at home for the summer).
The other thing I was extremely excited about (like a kid in a candy store) was the fact that I can officially buy games on my Wii! Oh, the wonders of being an adult. To celebrate this fact, I bought LostWinds (which is an interesting and beautiful game, although for some reason using the Wiimote makes my wrist hurt, probably because I am doing it wrong) and Yoshi's Story - which I am absolutely ecstatic over, mainly because the one time I played the game was at a friend of a friend's house about 10 years ago.
In other videogame related news, I've been playing Persona 4 nonstop. I'm about 30 hours in at 6/30 and have just beaten Shadow Rise/Teddie. The game so far has been fairly interesting, although there are some moments of frustration (I'm looking at you, one hit KO's). Just once, I'd like to see someone accept their shadow without a boss fight. It'd mix things up. I also can't play the game without thinking of Jung, which I completely blame on my Gothic literature class last semester.
I would also like to point out my Backloggery. If you have one, friend me! The website is great for keeping track of all things video game related. I love it, and have been using it like crazy to update my Persona 4 status.
