Winter Wrens are my favorite wrens! The Carolina Wren was actually my spark bird, but these guys are just a bit cuter with their tiny tails. Picture taken by me earlier this week. R5Mk2 + RF 100-500
For me it’s the Laughing Kookaburra! I’ve seen so many videos and pictures of them. They are high on my list for sure. They look like they would have such a fun personality! I’ve also yet to meet any ostriches. That would be interesting 😂
This is a life size golden eagle made of willow with epoxy resin feet and hand painted cabochons for eyes.
I was sorting my old pictures to make some more space and i found this one European bittern, date 13-01-2024

This is incredible. Thank you all for joining and sharing all your bird content. May we continue to fly higher and higher! :) I've always known that the cats and dogs community would eventually overtake birds, but there was a period last week where we were tied with cats, up o
yes this was from warmer times, the lake is currently an icy windswept tundra. The resident mute swans and canada geese never leave 🥶
I didn't make it, still I like this picture so much.
Exciting news everybody. We just hit a new community milestone: We are 100 bird lovers strong!!! 🕊️ I can’t wait to see what other fun bird content is in store. Feel free to share art, video, and anything else fun that is bird related too! :) Thanks for joining us!!!
Happy lady house finch and her suitor. Loving this little bird cam. Who else got a bird cam for the holidays?
Hopefully you folks like fantasy art inspired by birds. This guy was a character I played in a Dungeons and Dragons game based off a greater roadrunner. Fun part is I played a class that used the roadrunners natural abilities to digest and neutralize venom.
I’ve here playing a lot of Wingspan and now I feel like I know more than I ever have before! Birds are great!
Sometimes I feel like it's actually in reverse and the bird spots you, instead of the other way around. Look at this little red fella! Taken on my phone. Surprised how good the zoom quality turned out on some of these shots!
look at that FLOOF!
Since moving to their range I have loved having these in my yard.
Trying to get a conversation started! Bonus points if you mention why :) For me, it's so hard to choose... If I had to pick one this very moment, I'd have to say cockatiel because of their puffy orange cheddar cheeks and floofy crests. Just look at it! Source video: http
Hah so fun fact. I was on about.digg.com and I noticed that Digg is for People. But it later transitioned to Birdwatchers and got a chuckle out of me. It's official. Digg is officially for the birds!
I just learned that mallards are also known as “dabbling ducks” because they feed in shallow freshwater by tipping their heads underwater with their tails up. They’re also known as “puddle ducks” for this reason. How wonderful is that? I took this photo from my phone while
I was going through old photos I took and started laughing when I came across this photo set of a Jambu Fruit Dove in Chicago. It reminded me of a False Knees comic from long ago. Not the same bird but they shared the same look! False Knees comic: https://www.falseknees.com
