Celebrating a new mom

 Hello everyone,

It's Cindy here.  I am sharing a Mother's Day card created for a new mom in the family.

The card base is Poppystamps Fern and Daisy Pop Up Easel card, it was sent to me by a dear teamie and I have kept it safe in my treasure bin, but today is the day to use it.  😉

I first did a light wash of watercolor on the detail panel, then I use an inking tool to add layers of distress inks and ink blended the oval center.  Then I gold heat embossed the sentiment on the top oval piece.  I assembler the card base and adhere the focal element using foam adhesive.

The focal element is Poppystamps Nordic Spectacular Butterfly I die cut using both pattern paper and a ivory shimmery color paper.

For the stopper, I used clear seal wax and Spellbinders Butterfly Mini Wax Seal stamp.

For detail supply list, please visit me at Escape To Stamping.

Our May sponsor is Poppystamps and it's all about Celebrations this month.

The challenge prize is a $20 gift card will be made from those with US addresses only.  Now it's your turn, take your favorite craft supply and make a paper craft project following the challenge theme, and use your die cut machine in the process.  Please state what you're celebrating in your description, preferably next to the link back to our blog.  I look forward to seeing your creations the challenge gallery.

Tiled Valentine

Hello everyone,

Cindy here to share another inspiration for this month's challenge:  Holidays!

Cheapo Dies is our sponsor this month.  They have increased their inventory with the addition of well  known die brands like Altenew, Elizabeth Craft Designs, Memory Box, Sizzix, Hero Arts, PoppyStamps, Lawn Fawn and a whole lot more.  Be sure to check Cheapo Dies out here.

Cheapo Dies offers a $15 gift certificate as the prize for our challenge winner.

Now about my card.  A few days ago I used Altenew Graden Trellis Cover Die (available at Cheapo Dies) for my project, and I am left with lots of the negative pieces.  Today I made use of them to create a Valentine card.

I used the same cover die along with a silicone mat to sandwich the card front and pass thru the die cut machine to created the embossed pattern/grid.  Then I glue the colored left over pieces on top and coated with Sprinkled Sugar for a bit of shine.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment in black.

For further details, hop over to my blog:  Escape To Stamping.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Colored Bouquet

Frantic Stamper is our fantastic sponsor for October and the winner will receive a fantastic die.  Here it is!
Priced at $25.99 - Prize for October

The challenge for October is Fall or Fall Colors.  You can work with the wonderful Fall colors or any holidays in October - for Americans, it's Halloween, so work your FALL MAGIC for us.

Frantic Stamper has so much to offer, stencils, stamps and dies.  We want to showcase some of the products along our month-long journey through October.  Frantic Stamper carries their own brand as well as many other well known brands, such as Altenew, Elizabeth Craft Designs, and Hero Arts.

For my project today I am inspired by wonderful golden/orange palette of the Fall foliage.

I have an alcohol inked panel left over from another project and I want to use it differently.

So I die cut it with Altenew Layered Floral Elements Dies and created a Fall colored bouquet.  For the background panel I dry embossed it with a Hero Arts Flag Pattern Stencil.

I also layered my bouquet with some vellum die cuts to give it some 'air' and movement, otherwise the alcohol inked pieces look rather dense.  I embellished the bouquet with a few art pearls.

Thanks

Our theme this month "Give Thanks"  and our sponsor is a2z Scrapbooking.  Did you know that a2z are the sole retailer for Hero Arts digital images.

Today I have used a Digital set called "Chalkboard Frames and Messages" to make my card

For my background I used Hero Arts Asian Flowers stencil with some HA pale purple and blue inks.   I printed and fussy cut the Thanks label.  My butterflies are from an older Hero Arts stamp and die set.  I used Copic markers to colour them.   My card base was made with a Catherine Pooler Designs die.

Do come and join us with your cards of Thanks.

I dream of purple snowflakes

Happy Sunday everybody!

I think we all want to stretch our Christmas/Winter theme craft supplies.  Today I used a snowflake die to embellish my card.  Let's get right to it.

I colored the Bugaboo Digi Stamp - Puppy Girl image with coloring pencils.  The girl has purple hair, I was inspired by the daughter of my friend, she had purple hair at one point and I thought that was cool.  I added stickles to her grey pants, and the bow in her hair and on the puppy.  And I embellished with some purple glitter paper snowflakes die cut using Poppy Stamps Die - Frozen Flakes.

Remember our July Challenge theme is Make It Glitter, and our sponsors are:

I hope you would join in the fun and play along.

Birthday Snowglobe

Hi everybody,

Our wonderful sponsors for July are:

For today's card, I use the Snowglobe Butterfly (from Bugaboo Digital Stamps) to make a shape card.  And I adorned it with Marcel Flower (available at Dies R Us).

I need a birthday card, so I replaced the sentiment by another.  The snowglobe is coloured with Copics markers.  I used Wing of Stella for subtle shimmer, then I used stickles on the butterflies and bubbles.  The flower is die cut using some shimmery paper, and I slightly sponged on some colours.

You could see the glitter in this close up photo.

Supplies:
Bugaboo Digital Stamp: Snowglobe Butterfly
Poppystamps Dies: Marcel Flower at Dies R Us
Hero Arts Stamp: Many Birthday Wishes
Copics Markers (RV63,RV65,Y15,Y17,B12)
Ranger Distress Ink: Peeled Paint
Ranger Stickles: Diamond
Versacolor Pigment Ink: Raspberry
