I've bought a 3D design tools bundle from Humble already, and am considering this as well. In addition to my question about the specific books, I'm considering that this may be one of the few legitimate ways for a Canadian to support the ACLU right now.

I'm skipping that. I have my mental health to preserve and plenty of other good people are risking their own to make sure that anything I absolutely need to know from that event will get to me.

The Canadian federal government should do for the Heritage Foundation what they did for the Proud Boys: designate them as a terrorist organization.

(Noting that I have been privately and rightly warned that this might backfire given the setting of precedent, depending on who forms government over the years and decades to come.)

I used to do long-form writing reasonably well.

I'm shopping for a particular kind of font family. Looks close to Helvetica UCE, has multiple weights like Gravitica Compressed or Tungsten and has at least two character sets in addition to Latin. Greek and Cyrillic at least.

Can anyone here help me with this?

It was with a job-search-support service specializing in helping neurodivergent job-seekers. I plan to keep in touch with them through my upcoming contract, because said contract is going to end when March does. So, planning has to be for at least the medium term.

1. I spent some time this morning doing some activist writing about our network of public library branches in Orléans, my particular corner of the city of Ottawa. It's an issue that does not affect me personally and directly, and yet it still makes life more difficult than needed for some of my neighbours. I expect this will "go live" at some point in the next week or two, and I'll let you know when and where as soon as it does.

2. The news about Venezuela this morning is scary as Hell. The Vulgarian has yet again given the middle finger to international law as a whole. Carole Cadwalladr has thoughts about that, and you might want to have a look if you're not already subscribed to her newsletter.

3. The Trek fanfiction collective I've been doing map design with has a new thing out: Jayce's Fighting Ships of Wolf 359. It's a partner-work to We Have Engaged the Borg, which was created as an oral history-style retelling of the events of the Next Generation two-part episode, "The Best of Both Worlds".
