"When the Light overtakes Dark, or when the Dark overtakes Light, Four heroes shall rise to restore the balance, at any cost"

Content Warning(s): Religious abuse, scary scenes, violence, gore, and body horror.

Welcome to Deltarune: Between Light and Dark, an Alternate Universe of Deltarune that's set in a non-canonical version of the Prime Universe, and with its own unique plot. In addition to the canon Dark Worlds (here referred to as "Darkworld regions" in the AU), there are several more to explore, alongside the introduction of a second town. It is set in late October of 2024 and the Festival from the game is a Halloween festival in this AU.

Hometown in this AU is an enclave, within the boundaries of New York State & close to the Panlumin Chronicles location Hallowtown, and highly tied to a prophecy where, every 20 years four of its youths are trained to fulfill the role of the four heroes of the Prophecy. This is to ensure the World's balance remains intact, and to keep trust within the townsfolk. This would also mean that the good majority of Townsfolk are aware of Dark Worlds (though not the Roaring). However, the full details of what this would entail are only known to a few group of people, those orchestrate the prophecy's events of course, and the current Mayor.

The Player (in my novelization, the role is taken up by my OC Emery, but other works/takes are free to interpret the Player's Identity and backstory) still exists in this AU still and controls Kris throughout, akin to a symbiotic entity that alters one's soul color, but is the result of a ritual allowing Kris to become the first hero. Susie, who moved earlier to Hometown in this AU compared to canon, is the second hero, Ralsei is the third hero, and Noelle is the fourth. There are two main antagonists in this AU as well, those being the Roaring Knight and the Shining Mage.

Chara exists in this AU, alongside Desiree (orange human) & Grace (blue human). Chara & Grace are both at University like Asriel, while Desiree is located in Hallowtown instead. Other humans who fell & were born after Grace don't exist and Kris in this AU is an older version of the Cyan soul instead. Besides the humans mentioned here & the Player alongside the Vessel, no other humans play a large role in the AU (Zephyr, a Lightner of ambiguous species, is at least squarely into Monster territory). The Undertale "counterpart" to this AU is Undertale: Stories of the Below.

In hoping to eventually replace the need for character storage sites, I'm planning to host character information on my personal website, hosted at Nekoweb, and am learning to code in the process.

Recently, I'm proud to announce that I have made the page of Emery public, by linking it on the already publically visible Tempestos page, and it is now presentable for people to view. It is still far from being finished, as her story isn't currently being written, but it is a start.

If you'd like to access her page from here, follow through this link: https://detectiveazurasbunker.nekoweb.org/emery

I'm planning to do the same for the rest of my characters, and eventually would like to move on from some sites so I can rely on Social Media a little less. I honestly have no issue with social media existing to be honest, as it does provide a means of people separated by thousands of kilometers around the world to connect with each other, as well as being a major source of news for many people (whether one likes it or not), but having so many profiles is quite overwhelming to me, and making several controversial changes (e.g. embracing generative AI, following through with adding ID verification, or poor moderation resulting in the place becoming an unsafe place for many people), that relying less on it would be beneficial

Plus with my own website, I can make my own rules for what characters & worlds I put up there. The reason I left Toyhouse is based upon its hypocritical ruling on Character-Based Characters, and I'm not really keen on rejoining it just because it's popular.

Introduction

Hello, here's my first Dreamwidith post on this topic: Tropical Cyclones. Or at least the kind that form in the Northern Atlantic & Eastern Pacific, the scope of the name list(s) referenced in this post.

With each passing year, there's always a Hurricane Season, and comes with it, the list of names used each year. A system is given a name once its 1-minute sustained wind speed reaches at least 61 km/h, and is determined to be tropical or subtropical in nature. Each list is in alphabetical order and alternates between feminine & masculine names; the Altantic's lists skip Q, U, X, Y, and Z while the Eastern Pacific uses the entire alphabet.

The lists used for 2026 are the same as the 2020 Atlantic & Pacific Hurricane Seasons, with the exception of Leah in the Atlantic's list, replacing Laura.

For any storms that form in the central region of the Pacific, between 140 W and the International Dateline (any storms that form west of the International Dateline are instead considered to be in the Western Pacific, which isn't in the scope of this post) get named from a set of 4 names instead, using Hawaiian names, and are picked based upon usage, rather than in regards to year. The currently used list is thus shown here, with Lala being the next name to be picked.

Retired Names of 2025

Anyway, now to the retiree. The Eastern Pacific in 2025 didn't retire any names (yay!), while the Atlantic retired its 100th name, and not surprising anyone who paid attention to the tropics: Melissa, for its catastrophic effects on the Caribbean islands & particularly Jamaica as the nation's strongest storm to impact it. Melissa's selected replacement for the 2031 season is Molly, which was originally on the 1956 name list prior to the naming policy change but was unused & ended up getting thrown out when Masculine names were introduced to the roster.

The 2026 Pacific Hurricane Season starts at May 15 and the 2026 Atlantic Season starts at June 1st, though outlooks are issued as early as May 15. Then again, this haven't stopped some storms from forming early.

Remember, no matter how many storms are forecast to form in a season, one should always prepare, as even otherwise inactive seasons can have devastating storms; hence why the phrase "It only takes one" is often said throughout the beginning of each year. I hope everyone in both basins, as well as all others outside of the post's scope, stay safe.

 Welcome to Detective Azura's Chronicles

Well, technically not the first site I have with the same purpose and similar name. On Wordpress, there's a site called the Azural Chronicles and like this blog, I am going to write a variety of topics. Why? Well, I can and it's my log. I can do whatever I'd like >:D

Anyway, if you've read my about me, you already know the basics of who I am. That being said, this is a site I'll use to both write about the various happenings in my life, as well as to advertise my own stories, and perhaps write informational entries on topics that I'd like others to know about. However, keep in mind that this site & account aren't exactly child friendly, and won't be sanitized for the sake of "the kids".

It is partially a coping mechanism and I'd rather explore stories (both fictional & non-fictional) as they actually are, not the sanitized versions that are often read to kids. Whenever any sensitive or triggering subject matter comes up, I'll normally add a warning beforehand. Though, I do not warn for any profanity that shall appear on this blog, and so one should proceed with caution.

Much of what I'll talk about will be a mix of my characters & world, science, real world events (though most likely pertaining to what would effect me), and media I am passionate about (primarily books & video games though a few films and television series may prop up).

Anyway, let's all have a Bleutastic day.
