Circles

I've decided to schedule today's post since I having a job to wake up in the mornings due to pills that are suppose to help me sleep just wish they would at the right time.

This weeks Everybody Art challenge is for Circles, I'm guessing it depends how you interpret the theme but has you can see I have a circle for my image and used a large Scallop circle folded in half to make my base.

I've used a Di Digi that has been waiting in the wings (in my coloured image folder) to be used into a card. The papers are some old Stampin Up ones and my leaves are CC Designs with some tiny punch flowers. Yes I'm back doing simple cards, although to layer my images generally takes 40 minutes plus this includes cutting out, inking the edges with a pen, embossing and sticking.

I'm pretty impressed with myself I made another couple of cards so thats this weeks DT cards done now for some Conveyor Belt Style Christmas Cards today and then back DT cards for next week.

 

Bear Love

This poor bear from Di Digi's had been on my desk waiting to be finish for a few days. He wasn't quite finished before I went to visit MIL and it was another couple of days before I felt like sitting down and finishing the card off.
Possible it wasn't a good idea to leave it so long because I'm not quite sure my flowers work but I do love my cute bear once I was able to colour his head how I wanted but it did take a couple of times.
Mmmm my sentiment has slipped will check it later and straighten it.
I haven't card make much this week although I not sure what I've done instead and tomorrow I'm off to the Bracknell Crop. I still don't have a  Penny Black card for tomorrow but will try to make one today after I've been swimming and before I pack my bags for the crop even if it a CAS one.

Rock a Bye Baby

This was the card I planned for yesterday but you see the little hand it was missing and you could see where I layered so it had to be done.
My little baby is from Di's Digis and the sketch is this week Sweet Sketch Sunday. For a change I've embossed my background. Added pink patterned paper strip with a pretty border from MFT.
I paper pieced the baby's blanket to bring in a bit more pattern and to finish I added the tiny flowers from the Hydrangea punch.
My sentiment was using the baby die from Simon Says stamp along with the baby sentiment as well. Of course the die was using a couple times to give it more dimension.
I must try to remember to schedule my post the night before since Mr PC doesn't like working when its first turned on. Never thought this post would take nearly half an hour to write.
Today its 70 years ago we celebrated VE day, I remember asking my Dad where he was at that time. Apparently he was on a ship on his way home from Italy and debarking at Liverpool so the poor chap missed the celebrations.

Simply the Best

Another one of Di Digi images, I saw this bear and I had to have it and there's even a mouse too.
The papers are a download which I can't find on my PC now but I'm pretty certain they're from Sweet Shoppe Designs but not sure who is the designer.
I've used the new sketch on Truly Scrumptious but then gave myself a headache by choosing the image which is obviously for a mans card. So flowers were out but I used on of Tim Holtz alterations cog die for the sentiment so it would sort of copy the pattern on the paper and the sentiment if from a sentiment pack from Simon Says Stamps.
Since the image is a cheeky fun image do you reckon it would work for the Cute Card Thursday too.

Di's Digi & Friday Sketchers

Another image from Di's Digi that fell in my basket and the fab sketch over on Friday Sketchers is so perfect for her. The papers are from Papermania and it was wonderful to get into my craftroom and play with some made flowers instead of punched ones.
This is quite a simple card but I think very effective and helps the image to really pop.

Over Indulged Bear

 

I love this bear when I saw it on Di Digi Downloads I knew I had to have it and it perfect for someone I know. I've used the Sketch Saturday sketch even though it finished and I finally cut into the Echo Park Little boy so expect to see more of that.

I cut out of the papers buttons to use for embellishments and since it a chaps card there wasn't much more I could use. Finished it of with the MS zigzag punch and the embossed dots.

Well thats Christmas done with but at the moment we have two bank holidays because Christmas fell on the weekend so DD doesn't go back to work till Wednesday but Hubby is helping BIL. So I shall be returning my craft stuff to the various places in the house but it might take a while since my craft room became a bit of dumping ground.

Truly Mousey

I keep forgetting that I can use digi images now and when I saw Di's blog post here I had to get him but one or two others dropped in the basket too including this cute mouse.
My issue now with digi now is making them the right size this was my second attempt the first one this little chap was huge even now I think I could make he a touch smaller.
I've used the fab sketch this week from Truly Scrumptious and who won the prize last time, Oh that would be me.
The papers have no name although I think the green sheet is chatterbox. I eventually found my red roses and realise I don't have that many so will have to remedy that soon.
