Viele kennen es vielleicht: Das Märchen von der Industry Plant. 🧚 Es war einmal eine Nina Chuba, eine Chapel Roan, eine Shirin David, eine Billie Eilish. Sie alle sollen eine von der Industrie vorgefertigte Karriere hingelegt haben. Ihr schlagartiger Erfolg wirkt verdächtig 🕵️♂️ : Stecken hinter diesem Erfolg wirklich ehrliche Handarbeit und künstlerische Hingabe? Oder wurde das Ganze von Marketing-Masterminds kuratiert und mithilfe von Musikbranchen-Vitamin-B gepusht?   Diese Künstler*innen werden ganz ohne große Recherche von vielen direkt in diese Schublade gesteckt. Unsere Reeperbahn Festival Deep Dive Host Lina Burghausen sprach darüber in unserer Live-Folge auf dem Splash:   „Das Ding ist: Leute sehen oft gar nicht den Grind, den Artists schon gegangen sind vor ihrem Durchbruch – die erfolglosen Releases, die vielleicht wieder von Spotify entfernt wurden, weil es ja auch einen shitty Eindruck macht, die Tour durch die Nachbarstädte mit 5 Leuten im Publikum, unbezahlte Showcasefestivals. Man nimmt die Artists immer erst wahr, wenn es knallt. Und da geht es dann schnell, 'Industry Plant' zu schreien.“
