➡️ MEAG investors provide a mid-three-digit million euro amount as part of a €4.35bn financing package. ➡️ The financing establishes a standalone capital structure for Wyre and supports the expansion of glass-fibre infrastructure across Flanders and part of Brussels. ➡️ Wyre operates the leading fixed broadband infrastructure network in Flanders and Brussels and benefits from long-term contractually secured revenues. Acting on behalf of Munich Re and other institutional investors, MEAG has provided financing for Wyre. In the transaction, these MEAG clients are providing a mid-three-digit million euro amount in capital, making them cornerstone institutional financing partners for the company. Congratulations to Michael Kittle, CFA, Işıl Tanrıverdi Versmissen and the Project Team Anna Kihm, Lieselotte Landskron Carsten Endres and Caroline Parat, LL.M.! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d4NND4zc Wyre was established in 2023 as a joint venture between Telenet and Fluvius, combining their fixed infrastructure assets in Flanders and Brussels. It now operates the passive broadband network across these regions. Wyre holds a strong position in the market and is expected to own and operate approximately 60% of the shared fiber network footprint in Belgium. The financing serves to establish a standalone secured financing platform for Wyre. The funds will be used, for instance, to replace existing shareholder loans and support the company's long-term fibre roll-out programme.

MEAG Summer Party 2026 ☀️🎶 In July, it was time to step out of the office and into the summer mode! Around 700 colleagues came together at Munich`s historic Alte Kongresshalle for an unforgettable MEAG summer party. With refreshing drinks, delicious food stations and music, the evening was filled with laughter, dancing and plenty of opportunities to connect across teams and departments. Beyond the celebrations, it was a chance to strengthen relationships and exchange ideas away from day-to-day business. Moments like this reflect what makes MEAG special: a strong team spirit, genuine collaboration and the joy of coming together. A big thank you to the organizing team and everyone who made this evening a very special highlight! 👏
