Why is nitrogen used in frozen food production? Nitrogen is commonly used in food processing and freezing because it enables rapid cooling. This helps food producers maintain consistent quality at scale across a wide range of frozen products.

Coffee first. Emails later. For many of us, the day starts with a cup of coffee. Or two. And in summer, a cold brew can feel like exactly what the morning needs. Nitro coffee brings together coffee, nitrogen and carbon dioxide to create its smooth, velvety texture and distinctive taste. A small everyday pleasure with a little gas know-how inside. #LindeIsEverywhere

Too hot to cook? Pizza night it is. Cryogenic freezing and chilling can help frozen pizzas keep their taste, texture and quality from production to your oven. Sometimes summer plans are simple. And delicious. #LindeIsEverywhere

Turning clean hydrogen ambition into scalable infrastructure. The hydrogen economy is moving forward, but logistics and transportation remain critical bottlenecks. At ONS 2026, Kate Macfarlane, Managing Director Denmark & Iceland, will discuss what is needed to enable today’s projects and scale tomorrow’s hydrogen and ammonia infrastructure. Join her on August 26 at 12:30, Hall 4, Stage 2 Come visit us at Booth 9065 | Hall 9

Summer proposals, golden moments. A gold ring may be a symbol of love, but its story starts much earlier. Linde gases such as oxygen and argon can play a role in gold production and melting processes, helping protect quality at different stages. Some everyday symbols carry more science than we think. #LindeIsEverywhere

Congratulations on taking on this important role, Dr. Eric Schulze. Industrial gases are essential enablers of innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth across countless industries. We look forward to seeing the IndustrieGaseVerband e.V. continue to strengthen dialogue and help shape a resilient and future-focused industrial landscape in Germany. #IGV #IndustrialGases #Linde
Today I have taken on the role of Chairman of the German Industrial Gases Association IndustrieGaseVerband e.V. (IGV) Industrial gases are rarely in the spotlight, yet they are essential to the industries and applications that drive economic growth, innovation, and competitiveness. From manufacturing and healthcare to the energy transition, our industry plays a vital role in enabling progress. Germany is a well-supplied Industrial Gases market with domestic world-class production facilities run by many global and local producers. German specialty gases are exported around the globe. It is important that we keep Germany attractive for domestic production and investments. The IGV and the team around Werner Sielschott provide an important platform for dialogue, collaboration and the advancement of solutions that support both economic strength and sustainable development. My thanks go to our outgoing Chairmen & board members Mathias Kranz and Sebastian Jureczek for their commitment and service. Germany and Europe face many challenges – some driven by global developments, but some of our own making. I look forward to working alongside the board (Dr. Thilo Riessner, Jorg Homberg & Konrad Mohr), our members and partners to strengthen the industrial base of our country and help shape a competitive and sustainable future. #IGV #IndustrialGases #Linde Linde Europe

Summer meals feel better when they’re fresh. From crisp salads to ready-to-eat fruit, pre-packed produce needs the right conditions to stay at its best for longer. Linde specialty gas blends are used in modified atmosphere packaging to help protect freshness, colour and quality. A lighter lunch, with smart packaging doing some quiet work. #LindeIsEverywhere

A closer look at our Torija site. Three perspectives on one of Linde’s sites in Spain, where infrastructure, logistics and daily operations come together to keep essential gases moving. From storage to distribution, every part of the site plays a role in supporting our customers reliably and safely. Another example of how we are making our world more productive.
