Looking back to look forward: The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is now in its fifth year since launch and the breathtaking images it delivers are reshaping our understanding of the universe!   At HENSOLDT, we are proud to contribute cutting-edge expertise from our Optronics division to this incredible mission. 𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗧 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻   HENSOLDT plans to establish a new centre of excellence for Software-Defined Defence and Engineering, creating around 300 jobs in the #Stuttgart region, with the aim of rapidly recruiting skilled personnel from the automotive sector for its growing Software-Defined Defence business.    To this end, HENSOLDT has signed a cooperation agreement with Bosch and plans to lease vacant space in an empty building that forms part of the Bosch site in Leinfelden, near Stuttgart. 𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗧 𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗿ü𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗳ü𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗴𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗵𝗿 HENSOLDT wurde vom Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik u. Nutzung der Bundeswehr BAAINBw mit der Lieferung der Ausrüstung für die sogenannten Joint Fire Support Teams (JFST) abgesessen beauftragt. Nachdem in einem vorangegangenen Auftrag der erfolgreiche Nachweis der Leistungsfähigkeit des von HENSOLDT entwickelten Systems erbracht wurde, folgte nun die Serienbeauftragung. Das Projekt Joint Fire Support Team abgesessen umfasst die Ausrüstung der Joint Terminal Attack Controller / Joint Forward Observer (JTAC/JFO) deren Aufgabe es ist, für Bodenkräfte Luftnahunterstützung (Close Air Support, CAS) sowie das Indirekte Feuer der Artillerie anzufordern und zu lenken.   HENSOLDT verantwortet als Generalunternehmer neben der materiellen Beschaffung der Joint Fire Support Teams sowohl die vollständige Integrationsleistung als auch die Entwicklung des Software-Anteils für Digitally aided Close Air Support (DaCAS).  Weiterführende Informationen finden Sie hier: https://lnkd.in/d-hk9_qp #HENSOLDT #Bundeswehr #JFST

𝗗𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝟳 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿   At this year's summer party at the HENSOLDT site in Ulm, our colleagues not only had a great time celebrating together, but also got involved in raising money for Radio 7 Drachenkinder.   This initiative helps sick, disabled and traumatised children when support from health insurance funds or other organisations isn't enough. There's funding for specific projects and initiatives that make everyday life easier, for example for adapting a family car so disabled kids can enter easier.   Thanks to all colleagues for their contribution! For decades, Oberkochen has stood for German precision in optics. Now the pace of software has arrived alongside it. Minister-President Cem Özdemir visited our new campus this week: one building that brings the development, manufacture and integration of optronic systems together, houses around 1,000 people, and reflects an investment of roughly 300 million euros. Much of its energy comes from its own renewable sources. The tour covered optronic and radar-based reconnaissance, electromagnetic warfare and AI-based sensor data fusion. The thread running through all of it is MDOcore. The software links sensors, effectors and command levels across every domain and turns separate data streams into one shared situational picture within seconds. That is what a neo-systems house is about: combining the reliability of the established defence industry with the pace of software. 𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗧 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀  Order intake doubled year-on-year, revenue and adjusted EBITDA increased significantly, and our order backlog exceeded €10 billion for the first time: HENSOLDT delivered an excellent first half of 2026. At the same time, we confirmed our full-year 2026 guidance.  These results show more than just a strong financial performance. They confirm that our portfolio addresses the capabilities modern armed forces need most – from integrated air defence and electronic warfare to software-defined and connected defence solutions.  As demand continues to grow, so does our responsibility. How do different perspectives shape collaboration, innovation and decision-making? Around 250 employees at our Ulm site explored these questions through the interactive #DiversityParcours. The DiversityParcours, developed by the Institute for Diversity Management, is an interactive experience that invites participants to challenge unconscious biases, broaden their perspectives and discover how diversity strengthens collaboration in everyday working life. Through hands-on experiences, reflection and dialogue, participants gained new insights into unconscious bias, perspective-taking and the value of diverse teams. Because diversity is more than a principle, it is a key driver of innovation, collaboration and sustainable success. “The DiversityParcours has impressively demonstrated how important it is not only to promote diversity, but also to actively experience it and make it truly tangible,” says CHRO Inka Tews. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁? That is the question behind the CA-1 Europa, Helsing's autonomous combat aircraft. Our answer is #CAIRAS. We are supplying our missile warning system for the first time, and the first three units go aboard the Europa. CAIRAS spots incoming missiles in the infrared spectrum, all the way around the aircraft, without ever emitting a signal of its own. No active emission, no position given away. For a system meant to decide for itself, that is the whole point: reliable sensor data a machine can act on. CAIRAS sits inside the #AMPS self-protection suite, here on an uncrewed aircraft for the first time. Self-protection used to be something you designed for crewed platforms.
