New job, new challenge: Join our #TeamFresenius onboarding series as we welcome Julia Torresan-Mann, a Graduate Biomedical Engineer in our Technical Services team at Fresenius Kabi in Australia. 🌟 For Julia, starting this role was about applying her academic background in a practical healthcare setting. “What attracted me most was the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working on tasks that directly support patient care,” she explains. From her very first weeks, Julia experienced a collaborative onboarding environment. “I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I felt part of the team and trusted to get involved,” she shares. She also highlights the “real sense of teamwork”, where “people are always willing to share their knowledge.” Hands-on training played a key role during onboarding, helping her connect theory with practice. “It gave me the opportunity to apply what I’ve learned and see how it directly connects to patient safety, which made the experience even more meaningful.” She is now continuing to build her experience within the team. Over the coming weeks, Julia will share more insights into her role and her onboarding journey, highlighting how collaboration and shared values help new colleagues find their place across the Fresenius Group and contribute to #FutureFresenius. ❓ Curious about what it’s like to start in Technical Services? How can healthcare professionals support appropriate nutrition for neonatal and pediatric patients? It starts with understanding that nutritional needs can differ significantly depending on age and clinical situation. That was the focus of Nourishing Young Lives: Expert Insights and Clinical Cases in Neonatal and Pediatric Parenteral Nutrition, a symposium hosted by Fresenius Kabi at this year’s ESPGHAN Congress. The session explored how evidence-based medical nutrition support can help address the needs of patients at different stages of infancy and childhood. In this short video, Prof. Alexandre Lapillonne highlights the importance of standardized parenteral nutrition in preterm neonates. For more expert insights and clinical cases, watch the full symposium via the link in the comments. As part of Fresenius Group, we are committed to improving healthcare for patients around the world. Supporting healthcare professionals with evidence-based medical nutrition is one way we contribute to #FutureFresenius. #FreseniusCommittedToLife #FutureFresenius #ESPGHAN26 #MedicalNutrition

Chronic conditions can significantly affect daily life, and living with one often means uncertainty. For years, Merle’s life with ulcerative colitis was unpredictable: planning around symptoms, trying different treatments, and not knowing what each moment during the day would bring. When she started biologic treatment, things began to change. Today, her treatment is administered via a pen than intravenously supporting her everyday life and giving her greater flexibility. She has been able to return to routines and hobbies, meet friends, and eventually start her studies. Stories like Merle’s shape our commitment to supporting long-term treatment for people living with chronic conditions. #FreseniusCommittedToLife #InflammatoryDiseases #Biopharma

"I thought I would never live with my family again." Those are words no child should have to say. Born with short bowel syndrome, Matías spent much of his childhood in hospital. Today, he is continuing his care at home with his family, supported by the KabiCare program, which helps him manage his nutritional care outside the hospital. Being home means celebrating holidays with loved ones and looking ahead to experiences he once thought he might never have. At Fresenius Kabi and across Fresenius, patient care begins with people and their stories. 💜 Hear Matías' story, and the difference being home can make. #Fresenius #CommittedToLife #ShortBowelSyndrome #MedicalNutrition

Muscle function declines earlier than often assumed, starting from the 30s onwards. Sarcopenia doesn’t present as an isolated “later-life” condition. It develops gradually over time and often remains underdiagnosed. For healthcare professionals, this is particularly relevant. Loss of muscle mass is not only age-related, but closely linked to factors such as physical activity, nutritional status, and underlying conditions. It can affect patient recovery, functional outcomes, and long-term independence. In clinical practice, early awareness and intervention are key. Medical nutrition can play an important role in supporting patients at risk of malnutrition and loss of muscle mass, as part of a broader, multi-disciplinary approach to care. A perspective worth keeping in mind when patients attribute these changes simply to “getting older.” #Fresenius #CommittedToLife #WorldSarcopeniaDay #MedicalNutrition Beaudart C, et al. In pediatrics, the margin for error is smaller – and the patients are still developing while they are recovering. Clinical nutrition has to keep up with that reality, particularly in neonatal and pediatric critical care settings. 👉 Swipe for key reminders on why pediatric nutrition needs its own lens. #Fresenius #CommittedToLife #Pediatrics #MedicalNutrition
