Another success! 💥 💯 💥 Last week our Irina Kalinina and Viktor Kruschinski carried out a mission to #Turkmenistan for a delegation of 30 German businessmen led by Michael Harms of the German Eastern Business Association. The representatives of the German business were received on the highest level. During the visit the delegates had informative meetings with six deputy prime ministers productively discussing current developments in the areas of #construction, #energy, #transportation, #agriculture, #healthcare, #commerce and #financing. Numerous individual business meetings took place between the delegation members and the representatives of Turkmen state and private sector. Apart from #Ashgabat two other regions were visited where meetings with private companies were arranged. In addition German businessmen had a chance to get insights into the operation of the seaport and the oil refinery in #Turkmenbashy. In the agricultural region of #Mary the delegates also visited a textile factory as well as admired the architectural treasures of the ancient city of #Merv, a #UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🎓📖Last week, together with the AHK Zentralasien / GFCC Central Asia, GIC Tashkent and iMOVE, we welcomed a German delegation from the #education and #training sector in #Uzbekistan. The business initiation trip showcased the opportunities and challenges of the Uzbek market in the education sector for German companies, particularly in the areas of #vocational #training, #workforce development and #skills #partnerships. 🇺🇿 🇩🇪 The five-day programme offered an intensive week composed of briefings, site visits, B2B meetings and official engagements, which, among others, provided insights into economic policy and highlighted market opportunities as well as ongoing education projects. Site visits, B2B and a networking session enabled meetings between representatives of Uzbek and German companies and institutions to discuss the sector's needs and cooperation opportunities. In one-to-one meetings, German companies presented their solutions and established targeted contacts with potential partners. The programme in #Navoi and #Fergana included meetings with local authorities, businesses and vocational schools. The visits to #Margilan and #Fergana demonstrated how German expertise in dual vocational training and healthcare is being successfully applied. A busy and rewarding week for the AHK Zentralasien / GFCC Central Asia ! This week once again highlighted the enormous potential of Central Asia and the growing interest of German companies in the region. We successfully organized two parallel business delegations: 🔹 Kazakhstan: Raw Materials & Mining German companies gained first-hand insights into one of the world’s most important resource markets through numerous meetings, company visits, and discussions with key stakeholders from industry and government. This #MEP business trip was organized together with VDMA 🔹 Uzbekistan: Vocational Education, Training & Skilled Workforce Development At the same time, a second delegation explored opportunities in vocational training, workforce development, and skills partnerships. The program featured intensive exchanges with public institutions, educational providers, and businesses, demonstrating the strong demand for international cooperation in this field. The partners of this delegation trip are COMMIT Project Partners GmbH and iMOVE Both delegations were fully booked, highly successful, and provided valuable market intelligence, new contacts, and concrete business opportunities. Both are part of the Market Entry Program of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie. The week concluded with my participation in the Forum on Administrative Justice and the Rule of Law in Kazakhstan. It was an honor to attend an event that was opened with the participation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, underlining the importance of legal certainty and institutional development for Kazakhstan’s future economic growth.
