Preserving these ship bells means honoring our industrial heritage and strengthening our committment to continue to close the loop of infinite materials. We carry the ingenuity and versatility of the recycling business forward into a more sustainable future – day by day. #AperamRecycling #Sustainability #IndustrialHeritage #CorporateHistory
Why are there ship bells exhibited in a recycling office? They represent our history! ⚓👇 At our UK headquarters in Sheffield you’ll find some unexpected pieces of British maritime history: three authentic ship bells. 🔔 They aren’t just decorations – but a testament to our lively company history: 🚢 Our roots in the UK are founded on the footsteps of Thomas W. Ward Ltd (TWWard), a scrap metal business with a significant shipbreaking unit, dismantling over 2,000 ships in their time. By 1920 they claimed to be ‘the premier shipbreaking firm in the world – breaking down one or the other iconic ship of British marine history (find some in the carousel). 🔁 ELG Metals (today Aperam Recycling Stainless UK) took over in 1987, but the ship bells remained in our offices as testimony of our past. We’re proud to preserve these remnants of our history as we continue our mission of high-value metal recycling. 👉 Check out the carousel to learn more about the ships that carried the bells. 🕐 Stay tuned to find out about the person who conserved the bells. #AperamRecycling #IndustrialHeritage #SheffieldHistory #MaritimeHistory #CircularEconomy #Recycling

Another Legal Name Change, Another Milestone, Still the Same Excellence. Eisenlegierungen HgmbH is now 𝗔𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆. 💜🧡 Eisenlegierungen has been the bedrock of our stainless steel unit for over 60 years. Today, we are proud to build upward from that foundation under the unified global banner of Aperam Recycling Stainless Germany GmbH. Wrap-up on BIR Gothenburg 2026 Our team has just returned from an intensive and highly productive few days walking the floor at the #BIR World Recycling Convention & Exhibition. With the global recycling community gathered under one roof in Sweden, it was the perfect opportunity for our team to dive deep into the latest stainless steel and scrap market dynamics, discuss shifting regulatory landscapes, and gather key insights to bring back to our operations. For Aperam Recycling, the real value of events like BIR is the face-to-face connection. Our team spent the days catching up with long-time partners, opening doors for new collaborations, and reinforcing our shared vision for closed-loop recycling and sustainable supply chains. A huge thank you to the BIR - Bureau of International Recycling for organizing a fantastic event, and to everyone who took the time to connect with our delegation on-site! High-Performance Recycling Meets High-Performance Racing 🏎️ This weekend Aperam Recycling and ELG Utica Alloys are pushing the gas on the race track instead of on our recycling yards. Together with our technical partner in the U.S., SciAps Inc., we bring the Aperam Recycling brand to NASCAR ’s O’reilly Series on Saturday, May 9th. 🏁 Precision on the Track, Precision in the Yard: The world of high-performance metal recycling, like #Superalloys and #Titanium demands that same ‘race-day intensity’ as in NASCAR, where precision is everything. For our U.S. yards we have SciAps’ high-precision handheld XRF and LIBS technology, on the track on Saturday it will be Ryan Sieg in the #39 car for the independent RSS race team. We’re excited to bring our high-performance recycling to this event. Read on more our Website: https://lnkd.in/dkh8GPAE
