Herstory

Danielle is a courageous leader with a vibrant and witty personality, who loves to march to the beat of her own drum. If pivoting was a person she would be it, wrapped in style and grace. Danielle’s faith has been her anchor since the tender age of eight years old. It was then that she discovered how much she loved encouraging others through her writings. Writing has always been Danielle’s sacred space. In 2018, she started a blog called, “From Fear to Faith,” and it received thousands of views and led to numerous speaking engagements.

Over the past five years, Danielle has worked in Higher Education: at HBCUs, a top Community College and a Global University, serving in various departments in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and Student Success. Her tenacity, care and dedication to college students is a part of her calling. She is passionate about supporting college students and being a guide as they matriculate through their academic degree programs.

As a first generation college graduate, Danielle understands that “you don’t know what you don’t know” and is committed to being a bridge for both traditional and non-traditional students by educating them on the academic resources that are available, so that they’re empowered to make informed decisions about their future.

Danielle is intentional about leading with her passions, instead of her resume as she desires for others to see her personhood, before her accolades. She loves the arts, food, fashion and belly laugher. Danielle is a mental health advocate and believes in both Jesus and therapy.

Danielle became a mom, to a beautiful baby boy, in 2024 and she often highlights that he is her greatest blessing. God has blessed her, far beyond she could have ever imagined, with the gift of motherhood.

Danielle once prided herself on being ambitious- “hustle culture” disguised as workaholism, but motherhood shifted everything for her in the best way. She now understands the value of slow mornings, being intentional in every area of life and being present.

Danielle is a proud alumna of Shaw University, where she earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2012. She also earned a Master’s of Divinity in Theology at The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in 2020. Danielle obtained a Life Coaching Certification in 2020, online, at the Skills Academy, and completed a Virginia Career Coaching Certification at Northern Virginia Community College in 2024. In addition to that, Danielle is registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee. On December 16, 2018, Danielle preached her initial sermon at Grove Church and became a Licensed Minister .
