The glare from the embossing is always difficult to photograph. I stenciled dots on the kraft base and after an ink malfunction in the top left corner, I opted to camouflage it with a corner punch! :-/

Word Art Wednesday 9/16
Hello and welcome to a new Word Art Wednesday challenge! Karen has chosen Proverbs 19:17. I was a rebel once again and rewrote the verse in a Word document using NIV translation. I personally find it easier to understand as compared to the "old language". Gina K Designs is sponsoring this challenge with a $25 gift card up for one lucky participant! I used Gina K's Master Layouts 08 to die cut the strips and the layered rectangles for the sentiment.
Hope to see you in the gallery! ~Wanda

PTI September Inspiration Challenge
There is a monthly Papertrey Ink Inspiration Challenge and for September, we have these colors to work with: Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold and Orange Zest. I started with the pumpkin dies then arranged a collage of leaves around it. It's really dry in VA and the leaves are falling rather early this year. Guess that inspired me to use leaf images!

Bold Fishes
I started with a bold, ink blended colored background from my leftover pile and added a trio of the folk art style fish from the Loaves & Fishes stamp set by Creative Worship Stamps. I layered it over a background using two newly released stencils - Denim Texture and Speckled - also by CWS. The sentiment is from a mini stamp set -Salt Air Sentiments- from Papertrey Ink.
I'm entering this into the Just Us Girls challenge where it's "word week" and the word is "BOLD". The fish were stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne pigment ink then I added some tiny "bubble" embellishments. That's a wrap for today. Thanks for stopping by! ~Wanda
Autumn Birthday
I am playing along with the newest Tic Tac Toe Challenge and used the middle horizontal row of ink blending, free and leaves. I blended ink colors while using a stencil collection with fall elements. There are at least two fall birthdays in my extended family, so this is helping with that need. This was a very simple design and perfect for adding a sentiment in the empty space. I stacked two "You" dies to give added dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Wanda

Loaves & Fishes
I finally got around to creating with some new goodies released this month at Creative Worship Stamps. While I plan to use the Loaves & Fishes set in Bible journaling, I also thought it would make a cute card! How about gifting it with a homemade loaf of bread and sharing it with a friend?! I'm playing with the Addicted to Stamps & More challenge where we are to use die cuts and/or stencils. I used both. The background was stenciled with the Denim Texture and Speckled stencils. I then layered a navy Cathedral Window die cut. I used an Exacto knife to cut the edge of the basket so I could tuck in the loaves and fishes. The greenery really made the card come to life! I colored images with Prismacolor pencils.

Birthday Candles
I'm playing along with The Paper Players challenge where Joanne is hosting theme week and it's all about using candles. I immediately went to my stash from The Greetery and used stamps, dies and stencils. The yellow "sparkle" stamps were made to look like gold glitter by going over the images with a gold glitter pen. There is no marking on the pen so I have no idea of the source.
