Learn to stitch, sew, and shape fabric into something uniquely yours. At Create Makerspace in Squamish, our textile classes are designed for curious beginners and creative explorers alike — whether you’ve never touched a sewing machine or want to build confidence with a new technique.

From making your own custom tote to learning how to use a sewing machine or hand loom, our classes are all about hands-on learning, small projects, and unlocking the joy of working with fabric.

One Session Classes:

Design and sew your own Bestie Bag in this hands-on intermediate textiles workshop. Learn bag-making techniques while creating a durable, banana-shaped everyday carry built for errands, adventures, and everything in between.

What’s included

All textile classes include:

  • All tools, fabric, and supplies

  • Use of our sewing machines and equipment

  • Instruction from our knowledgeable teachers

No special clothing required, but we recommend avoiding loose flowy tops so they don’t get in the way while you sew!
